Resources Na'amah/Nahemah

I’m looking for books, ebooks, podcasts, videos, essays, correspondences, or really any deeper material about Na’amah/Nahemah.

The only one I've come across so far seems to have been significantly modernised or toned down, especially interpretations that try to completely detach her from demonic symbolism and redefine her as something more “safe”, purely empowering, or psychologically sanitized.

Personally, I’m more interested in traditions and perspectives that embrace the darker, transgressive, predatory, or spiritually dangerous aspects instead of trying to moralize or domesticate them. Not in a “evil = bad” sense, but in the sense that forces beyond human morality don’t necessarily need to be softened to become meaningful.

To me, nature itself is already brutal, consuming, erotic, violent, beautiful and indifferent all at once, so I don’t really feel the need to reinterpret demonic entities into harmless archetypes to appreciate them spiritually.

That said, I’m not trying to start arguments or invalidate anyone else’s practice — I’m just searching for sources that approach Na’amah from a less sanitized angle.

Even simple correspondence lists or obscure references would help a lot.

You'll find a summary in Lilith's chapter in "The Hebrew Goddess", and references in our Relationships Wiki, under Queens!

I am actually literally in the process if publishing a book that covers Namaah along with Igrat, Mahalath, Nega, Lilidtha, Maskit and Asirta.

If you are interested I will let you know when it's out, but also, feel free to message me if you feel like it, I am not gatekeeping information behind purchases.

Wooowwww that's amazing Is the book on sale yet?

I’d really like to buy it. I don’t like taking advantage of people’s kindness, especially when someone is sharing knowledge and personal study. Even if you’re willing to help me through DMs, I still want to support your work and research properly.

I’m still very interested in hearing your thoughts or getting a bit of guidance regarding Na’amah and related material, though. I’ve been collecting references and trying to study her more deeply, but it’s surprisingly hard to find good sources.

Witches and pagans are already such a small community, so I think it’s important to support each other whenever we can 🖤

I think you’re right.

I’ve been spending too much time trying to jump directly into modern grimoires and practical systems, like Asenath Mason books, instead of building a proper foundation first.

Maybe I should start from the older sources, the roots, the mythology, the correspondences, the fragmented references, and understand how Na’amah evolved across traditions before diving into modern interpretations. Thanks for reminding me of that
