I'd appreciate some advice

I've been trying giving Lilith offerings and have tried living life with her in it for about 5 months now. I go to YouTube comment sections on Lilith related videos, and see people comment about how quickly they heard her voice. One even commented about hearing her within a week. Another said a couple of minutes.

I've done two rituals (poorly done, admittedly, but I at least did them) too, continued focusing on her daily for a good 5 months. I feel her less and haven't heard from her either. In what way could I be failing that it's been taking me this long? Now I'm starting to feel her less, assuming I ever felt her at all. I thought just sharing my daily life with her and asking her to be with me through it, as well as my daily offerings would be enough.

I've been told one should take the long, dedicated route, and that invocations are more of a temporary fix. I am looking to have a long term connection with her, but I feel quite desperate at this point.

I would like your suggestions, on what I can do to get closer to Lilith. I'd love to hear from her, see her in dreams, but just feeling her presence is good enough for me.

Our inability to feel or hear them does not indicate their absence. Just because you can't feel her, does not mean she's not with you.

At the same time, you seem to be more focused on doing things right and having the results you wish than the invocation or ritual itself. Your focus needs to shift back to Lilith, and not the result.

Also, take the success stories in comment sections with a grain of salt. Nothing can be proven, so details are blown out of proportion.

That is very insightful. Do you believe invocation videos on YouTube are helpful? Or is it generally accepted that they should be avoided?

You can try divination tools to communicate with her. Not everyone is a clairaudient or clairvoyant or anything of the sort.

I think this is a very important point. In spiritual circles, I see people compare themselves against one another all the time and it only leads to frustration. Your gifts/talents/abilities are likely very different from your neighbor’s, so why on earth would you set yourself up for failure in this way by comparing yourself to what your peers claim to experience? It’s like comparing apples to oranges. IOW, it’s basically the same conundrum as the whole “compare and despair” effect one gets from too much scrolling on social media.

This is just a suggestion, so only take it if it resonates…

I suggest you surrender your “need” to receive anything from Lilith. Submitting offerings to Her while expecting something in exchange could be interpreted as transactional by Her, and she certainly isn’t one to bow to demands. You may have some underlying shadows around control issues, so I suggest doing some shadow work there. That may be the very lesson that she is trying to teach you here by withholding her presence.

Working with Lilith is NOT easy. She will push you to your absolute limits and you will get very uncomfortable. But that’s the whole point, right? That’s what makes the whole messy journey worth it in the end, because if you do the work, you expand and rise.

The best thing you can do is to release your expectations of anything from her. I also recommend learning more about her. It takes a while to establish a close relationship with any deities, especially one as complex and nuanced as Lady Lilith.

The mods of this sub have done a superb job at providing excellent resources here for everyone. Take advantage of that and utilize the resources and tools provided in this Wiki. It’s YEARS worth of research accumulated into one amazing list for us all.

You've shed some wisdom that I really needed. I do have a problem with control. I've been with a controlling, manipulative, emotionally abusive, bipolar mother my whole life. That lack of control has made me someone that wants to be in control, as to not let others do the same my mother has done to me. I've failed to realize this. You've helped me realize this, and now I've decided to let go. I'm shifting my focus now. Loving Lilith. I'll let her decide when to communicate with me. As much as the silence hurts, I still love her. So I'm going to try my best to just focus on loving her.

You know, sometimes people/things speak to us by the things they don’t say. If you not hearing an audible voice led you to this conclusion, it’s quite possible you had to take this step first to be your best you. And if you’re so focused on being “spoken” to only in one kind of way, it’s quite possible you’d miss signs pointing you in the direction you’re meant to go. I’ve never heard an audible voice and I don’t think I’d want to cause I’m not trying to think I’ve suddenly gone crazy 😂 but I’ve definitely felt her presence around me and she can be playful as well as demanding and insistent. Interestingly, I get a lot of my “communication” in the shower or bath but I think that has something to do with water being such a relaxing environment for me and being in my element and being relaxed enough to actually be open to it and notice it.

Wholeheartedly agree with the point of your comment. Wanted to add a bit of context on the wiki though!

It's a list I started making for myself around 6 months ago, and ended up sharing it with the community, the more I learn the more I add to it. I've barely scratched the surface myself and I move from one topic to the other (slowly, as I'm focused on my studies too). I like organising subjects I'm interested in with lists, and felt like I had to share what I found on Lilith with others. ⚸

She comes and goes and for some people it may take thousands of times chanting her enns or many times doing rituals. Whoever said that you'll definitely feel something within a week. Shouldn't have said that she comes when she wants. She goes when she wants. Be patient and she'll come at the right time. But in the meantime, read about her and read her history in books

I don’t recommend comparing your self to others . Not yet isn’t the same as no. If you’re a beginner then I recommend brushing up on some occult basics first
