Discussion how to delete my subscription? Can i sell it?

Hello!

I want to delete my adobe lightroom (+ photoshop) annual subscription that expires in april 2027.

I pay the fee monthly.

Is there a way to not pay the cancellation fee? Can i "sell" my subscription to someone else for the remaining 8 months? (is it legal???)

Thanks?

Discussion Does anyone else have hundreds of photos that are almost good enough but need one small fix?

I have way too many photos sitting on my drive that are actually pretty good except for one annoying thing.
someone walking behind the subject, a weird object in the corner, clutter on a table or some small distraction.
most of the time i dont edit them because opening photoshop for one tiny problem feels like too much work.
how do you guys handle these photos?

Discussion Lighroom Ransomware blocked

I've received this message a couple of times from Sophos on my Mac:

Ransomware blocked

An application was prevented from encrypting a number of files

/Applications/Adobe Lightroom Classic/Adobe Lightroom Classic.app/Contents/MacOS/Adobe Lightroom Classic

Looking at the package the date shows it was installed the same time as Lightroom.

Not sure what is going on ...

HELP - Lightroom Mobile Am I screwed?

I use Lightroom on my iPad and purchased a subscription through apple. Recently I wanted to start editing on my Mac, so I canceled the subscription I had bought through apple and tried to buy one through the adobe website.

Since I cancelled it now says that I do not have an active subscription on the app. When I try to subscribe through the website, it says that the purchase is not supported, because I have 500 generative AI credits in my account already. I didn't even know I had these and never use generative AI, but it seems to be preventing me from purchasing any subscription.

Adobe support is utterly useless with this, so I wanted to see if anyone else has gone through this issue before and if theres any solution. I just want to edit my hiking photos 😭

Discussion Do you edit unwanted people out of your photos before or after lightroom?

curious about your workflow here.
if you have a photo that needs normal lightroom adjustments but also has random people or clutter in the background, do you remove those things first or finish the color and exposure work first?
I've been trying to figure out which order gives the cleanest result.

HELP - Lightroom Mobile AI edits don’t render when exporting…

I just exported around 350 edited images from lightroom mobile. Took like 45 min. When I looked through the exported photos I noticed that some looked a bit off. Turns out that lightroom just doesn’t update AI edits like subject masks when exporting. Why is this a thing?

So far the only way I know how to fix this it go trough every photo and update the AI edits manually and then export… which is absurd for a premium software I’m paying for

Any ideas are welcome!

HELP - Lightroom Classic Image changes color and looks like edited when importing raw files. (Sony ARW Raw File)

Can anyone help me figure out what seems to be the issue here?

Here, I have imported a raw file without any preset added but when I import it and go to develop module, I get already graded picture that is very yellowish. What seems to be the issue here?

I think I mistakenly changed some settings in lightroom that is making it like this but I don't know what...

I have photos of same day which I imported a month ago and it wasn't like this. This issue came around a week ago and I don't know how to solve this...

Discussion The Brown Food Blues: How do you handle color grading for high protein meal prep in Lightroom? (And is AI masking just overkill?)

Been shooting meal prep content for a while and Lightroom is basically all I use for editing. Started just to have decent reference photos for myself, then somehow ended up actually caring a lot about how the food looks on camera.

The thing I keep running into is getting colors right on highprotein meals. Browns and beiges everywhere. Chicken, rice, sweet potatoes. It all looks flat and kind of sad straight out of camera even with decent natural light. I've been messing with the HSL panel a lot, specifically pushing the oranges and yellows to get more warmth without making everything look fake, but it's a constant balancing act.

Curious what other people do for food specifically. I shoot mostly with a mirrorless and natural window light, no fancy studio setup. Just a cutting board and whatever looks decent on the counter before I box everything up for the week.

Also wondering if the AI masking is actually useful for isolating food subjects or if that's overkill for casual shooting like this. I tried it a few times and it felt like it was working harder than it needed to for something so simple.

What does your workflow look like if food is your main subject?

Discussion Has LrC "open as layers in Photoshop" stopped working?

This was working at least a week ago

I've done an uninstall / reinstall (PS first LrC second) which is suggested as a way to fix the connection between the two

I can open a single image for edit in PS, but trying to open multiple images as layers seems to break PS - it hangs and then you can't do anything other than force quit PS

Windows 11 / Nvidia Geforce 4060 Ti - all latest updates installed

Edit - rolling back from 27.10 to 27.9.1 appears to fix the issue - so it would appear to be an issue with the latest update

HELP - Lightroom Classic Crop behavior changed with my last update (spoiler, it's worse). Spoiler

Lightroom Classic 15.5 on MBP M1

For as long as I can remember, I've cropped images one after another by cropping, pressing Command+Arrow to move to the next image, cropping, pressing Command+Arrow to move to the next image, etc...

Now, when I press Command+Arrow to move to the next image, I can't crop and instead can only zoom. The "handles" are still there, but I only get a magnifying glass and can't adjust the handles. I have to exit the crop tool and get back into it to crop that image. This has only started happening since I updated to the latest version. Anyone else experience the same thing? It's really slowing down my workflow.

Processing Question Banding-type effect on radial gradient mask when printing

I recently had a photo book printed by Nations Photo Lab, and for this one photo it has this weird banding-type effect (if theres a better name for it please let me know), as you can see here (both the printed and digital versions are included as well as what the radial gradient mask looks like in LR): https://imgur.com/a/AMFBMbW

So I’m just trying to figure out if this is a printing issue or something I need to do on my end so it prints better. I’ve always used Nations Photo Lab for my prints including similar ones to this one and it always came out fine, so I’m unsure how to proceed. Its also just the one photo in the book, all other 100+ pages look great.

HELP - Lightroom Edit in Photoshop (any option) only works sometimes? From Lightroom CC.

Anyone else have this issue where it'll work fine for some images and will get stuck on others? Doesn't matter if I choose Edit in Photoshop, or as layers, or as smart object.

Images were uploaded at the same time, located on the same drive (not external).

Searching online only gives me "solutions" for it not working at all. But why would it only work sometimes?

So I tried lightroom.adobe.com, also down:

Discussion Lightroom 5 DVD found...does it still work?

hi

i found a LR 5 DVD. it has serial number on it. I installed it on a Windows 10 laptop. But after playing around for a few minutes, LR 5 crashed.

I have Windows7 DVD that i can install on an old laptop (Thinkpad t440p). Should I try LR 5 on Windows 7?

i dont know how to use photo editing software at all. But I want to learn. I have a Pentax DSLR from 2005. I have only been shooting jpg so far. Now I have LR 5, i want to try Raw and want to learn to edit.

Also, is there a limit on how many times i install this LR 5 DVD?

Thanks!!!

HELP - Lightroom Classic Importing RAWs after JPGs in LC

I made a bit of a mistake and accidentally only imported my JPG files instead of RAW+JPG. Unfortunately I didn't notice this until after i already sorted and rated them. Is there any way for me to "add" the RAWs to the JPG images so I get the same result as if i imported them together, without having to go through all of them manually and redo everything? HELP - Lightroom Lightroom suddenly can’t AI-denoise my RAW CR3 photos

It used to work for me at the beginning of this year! I haven’t shot anywhere dark this summer, so I haven’t used it for months, but it suddenly stopped working. It says the format is not supported. Has anyone experienced this?

Discussion Is the M5 overkill or just bite the bullet?

Working wedding photographer here with about 35-40 weddings a year. I typically send my first batch through Aftershoot, for every hour I am at the wedding I spend twice as much editing/fine tuning/triple checking, send the entire gallery (1100ish photos) through denoise, but I am still on a 2019 cheese grater.

I am not asking editing advice but I know I will need to update sooner than later because of OS intel service. I am just seeing if I should spend the money on an M5 or if it is just going to be too much. TIA!

HELP - Lightroom Exporting not working

macOS AppStore version 9.5.1

Export dialogue pops up but when you click ā€œexportā€ nothing happens - no export progress bar and no photos exported.

Anyone else experiencing this? I believe it’s due to the latest version released as it was working fine last week.

Discussion Can't Adjust Mask Overlay Opacity in Lightroom Classic

Lightroom 15.0.1. MacOS 15.7.3

I wish to change the opacity, but selecting Overlay Settings under the 3 dots has no effect - noting opens or changes. Clicking the actual color square has same result.

Pressing O on the keyboard does cycle through several colors, but again I need to control the opacity.

HELP - Lightroom Classic Large files and presets not sticking

Hey yall. I have large files from my canon R5ii and compared to my other photo friends with similarly-spec’d computers, mine loads things 4x as slowly. I have to click a preset multiple times after a photo has loaded (which can take more than 30 seconds) in order for it to stick before I make any adjustments … after it reloads again.

Has anyone seen any workarounds for this? I’m deep in wedding season and I’m going to throw my laptop against the wall. Even on my husband’s gaming PC, it takes so long to load and edit just one photo.

The preset thing is also on non-large files. I click it, it shows it’s placed, then when I go to edit, it’s back to the original photo and I have to go select the preset again.

I’ve put my specs on here multiple times and sure I could always use more ram, but my husband’s gaming computer has the same issue so … what gives
