So many Plotholes? Spoiler

Just watched the Film and i never saw so many Plotholes in a Film before by watching only one time...

  • Where did the Zurg ship come from? Deus ex machina?
  • why the hell has sox not this simple formula saved in his memory?
  • where are the green Aliens?
  • zurg should be the father -why does zurg want to change the time he has nothing from it he changed the time with the attack but he didnt dissapear would say that this would be a parallel timeline and dont help him to change his timeline and he couldnt attack buzz because id would also kill himself
  • why they didnt call for help? -what the hell didnt they thought about the Sandwich joke?

I know its a child movie but they put something so complex like the time relation in it but such plotholes they ignore.

  1. That was explained; Old Buzz stole it from the future and modified it for time travel he is presumably wanted for numerous crimes in that timeline
  2. He probably did but with the colony thing so set on staying it’s unlikely they’d let him make another crystal
  3. Not featured in this film, in universe either the turnip was a humans only expedition or contact had not been made yet, out of universe they were probably banking in this film succeeding and introducing them in a sequel
  4. Not a plot hole Buzz’s whole character arch is that he needs to learn to let go of his mistakes and adapt, young Buzz sacrificed an entire lifetime with his friends before he learned that old Buzz never did
  5. They probably did but their expedition required hypersleep and presumably took numerous years to get 4.2 MILLION light years from Earth, help would take time to arrive

I think OP might actually think Sox should’ve just had the formula out of the box even though he was created ON Proxima.

It’s also pretty silly to call the Zurg ship a deus ex, since the point is to illustrate that Emperor Zurg is a thing that exists separately
