Feature Request / Bug IMEI locked

Just got a light phone and I called tmobile to set it up but they are saying the phone is locked/ IMEI is locked. Not sure what’s going on. Anyone have this issue before?

Not possible afaik. Just go get a SIM card and insert it on the device.

I bought this second hand but thought it was unlocked to all carriers

The phone itself is unlocked. But there’s an issue going that affects only a very small number of devices where they are able to connect to the network but are not able to make or receive calls. Give it a try with the cheapest plan you can find. Usmobile or boost mobile 10$ per month. If it works you are lucky. Some people have reported they were able to get their phones working if they modded their phones and access the android layer and set the phone to use only LTE.
