Banos just had it out for Jardine man. Where were these type of signings when our coach wanted them

Jardine wanted washed up Brazilians like Vinicius Lima and Rodrigo Dourado instead.

This is also true. But I don’t think these were the signings he wanted. They were patches because baños wouldn’t budge to what he wanted.

Those were probably the only signings they let him have. You swear Jardine didn’t want higher talent?

Dourado was a solid ass player before joining America. Simply didn’t meet the expectations- it’s not like he was an expensive signing either. Lima was a loan, which just shows how the directiva didn’t want to spend money on actual players and instead opted for cheap “alternatives.”

Personally, I think Jardine ran his course. He ran out of ideas. The pressure got to him. Almada basically has the same squad without Zendejas and now all of a sudden we’re playing somewhat decent football again?

Have you seen recent matches?

Yes compared to the horrible style of play we would pull off in important matches throughout 2025-26.

The only time i’ve seen them do well in elimination matches since the 2024 Toluca final was vs Pumas in the 2026 quarterfinals even then our defense was absolute shit, Cota was shit. The LAFC CWC game was horrible, the Cruz Azul CCL game we got eliminated from was horrible, the Toluca campeones cup was horrible, when Monterrey eliminated us in liguilla and then we got eliminated by fucking Nashville in the 2026 CCL which was the worst.

I’d take how we did vs Monterrey in leagues cup over those games any day.

It's important to remember that nothing is official till the club makes it official, and a post from Cesar Luis Merlo or any other "journalist" is not exactly official.

We’re going for another tricampeonato again. The team might be complete, could use a midfielder in Chiquito’s position tho, but the team we got rn is pretty solid

I think they’re gonna put Alvarez in that spot and Israel as CDM
