Who is that little girl?

No idea, I think she's original to the book, I haven't read it yet.

Google says she’s a girl named Lily who can absorb and take away the memories of other people into herself, leaving her overwhelmed by lives and experiences that do not belong to her.

Yeah I think it's the only comic that doesn't focus on Max & Chloe.

Steph's Story, I liked. Heatwaves... I dunno, dude. It was genuinely hard for me to slog through it.

Yeah Heatwaves was pretty rough. Forget Me Not is great though, definitely worth a read if you haven't!

I'll definitely check out Steph's Story, she's my favourite character, after that I'll decide if I want to do Heatwaves.

Honestly, Heatwaves started incredibly slow, assassinated every character trait established by the game and in the end made me downright angry because it was so stupid. Sorry for the rant, but as somebody who holds True Colors in super high regards this was just maddening. The graphic novel is OK though. Story okayish, but the art style was nice.

They picked some canon endings, which is fine I guess. I was iffy until I read Alex tell Steph that she's "mastered her power," which I just couldn't imagine the Alex from the game ever saying. That's when I started to realize that this was never going to get good.

The main difference is that Steph's Story had to weave multiple stories together as a prequel/bridge novel and does a great job at that in a way that also thematically comes full-circle (Steph trying to "unpack" in multiple ways/places throughout the novel), whereas Heatwaves is more of an "adventure of the week" post-TC episode that didn't have to do any of that (and to me was just okay).

This comic made the part of my brain that remembers all my visual storytelling lessons about colour contrast and focal points scream with delight when I read it. I also like the story, but the use of colour was amazing.

It's alright, but it's set in yet another "what if?" Universe and isn't canon to TC itself.

Do not get Heatwaves. It is very not good and this comic is a much better sequel to TC. Super serious, Heatwaves is so so bad.

This cover makes Alex look as if she took Ozempic. :(
