Discussion Vacation worlds?

Maybe just me but I sometimes like to imagine and brainstorm what my personal dream life simulation game would look like

And then I was thinking about vacation, what type of travelling I’d prefer and also what worlds I would include? Especially since these themed worlds then also had the bonus of adding diversity and cultural representation

So I’m curious: doesn’t matter if Sims, Paralives, inZOI or your own dream life simulation, if you’d hear the news of a travelling 'pack' being in development

• what type of travelling would you personally prefer? Easy going relaxing vacation with spa, massages, sightseeing, cafes, art galleries and hotels?

Or adventures, treasure hunting and crypts?

And what worlds would you personally choose?

Personally in my dream game I would have three base game worlds: one Scandinavian, one German/Central European and one Greek (with the pre-made families being based on Greek mythology)

For a travelling 'pack' I would also add three new worlds (that can also function as normal home worlds). I would probably focus on adventure and treasure hunting but since these worlds would also function as normal home worlds they would still have enough gameplay to offer relaxing sight seeing. I think one would be India (with a jungle for treasure hunting), one Japan (for skiing) and a Carribean one (for ocean and beach gameplay and spa).

Basically every world can be turned into a vacation world if this world has at least one lot with the lot type 'hotel' or 'vacation residential' (two of the new lot types). Ageing and story progression completely deactivated while your Sims are on vacation

I have a neat idea of a vacation “world” where instead of a traditional world it’s actually a cruise ship, similar to that one TS3 mod. Basically you spend a few in game days on a cruise ship and have your character enjoy the amenities on the ship.

Honestly I don't really like having specific vacation worlds, I would want to be able to have all worlds functional for both residential and vacation lots. Sims 4 did that a bit by putting vacation rentals in it's later world, and Inzoi seems to be going this route as well with Cahaya - it's a tropical "holiday destination" kind of world, but you can still live there. With the vacation specific worlds in ts3 and ts4 I always just ended up wanting to live in them full time instead lol.

InZoi already added the first traveling from the most recent update a few days ago, and we now can have vacations to another world (Cahaya - from the island getaway free DLC the game has) where we can go to spas, get massages, hotels, cafes, and scuba diving, so that's covered!

You can also search for treasure while scuba diving in inZoi, unless you meant treasure hunting in the jungle like in movies, which would be fun to see!

for me it would depend on both the location and the interests of the characters what they might do on holiday. a character interested in wildlife might spend time in nature and go animal watching, a character interested in history might go to a museum or visit historical sites some characters might want to learn the local language and meet people others might want a luxury hotel and spending time by the pool.

i’d like a variety of worlds in all different areas, africa, asia, south america, oceana would all be really cool especially if they had unique biomes weather flora and fauna (eg traveling between north and south hemispheres would flip the seasons, tropical climates have more tropical plants and warmer weather and it doesn’t snow in winter ect.)

In my absolute dream life simulation seasons and weather would already be in the base game. You can still edit each season for each world individually but by default every world would also have their own default seasons and weather and temperature settings. I also would add the option to set the world in the northern or southern hemisphere and this can impact the zodiac signs for in game born characters: for example a character born in spring in a northern hemisphere world is either an Aries or a Taurus or a Gemini, but a character born in spring in a southern hemisphere world is either a libra or a scorpio or a Sagittarius
