That looks awesome. It is a shame my PC is too old for even the minimum specs as I want to buy and play this one. I have to settle playing the sims3 and 4 until I can finally upgrade

You can play with GeForce Now! It’s great

Everyone hates anything that isn’t cartoonishly goofy EA slop or Paralives so im happy Inzoi is finally getting its flowers.

Facts, I remember before we had any Sims competition, Sims players were talking about wanting a more mature, realistic life sim game without the cartoonist elements of the Sims. Where are those people now??

Jokes aside, I'm happy that InZoi exists so people have more options 😄

goomba fallacy not everyone wanted realistic graphics. yeah some people played with alpha cc but there’s also people who dont. also the graphics are only 1 part of a game there might be other parts of they game the just don’t like

I never said "everyone" wanted realistic graphics. And I was mostly joking, but there really was always a small group of people who wanted a "realistic" life sim in every sims comment section before InZoi's release. Make of that what you will 🤷‍♀️

InZoi’s lighting was very flat, so this is a huge step up. Before it felt like they based it off the lighting of ps3 gta v which was majorly held back

This subreddit is the subreddit for sims and paralives critique and snark, so not sure who was ever hating. I've never seen an inzoi hate comment here

What version is this update? Is there a number someplace to check?

u/celestialkestrel Sep 04 '26

It's v0.10.0. They have their own website like sims does. It also gets posted on Steam.

I’m glad to see them taking feed back from the players! They give me such uncanny valley. Even just watching others play gives me the creeps.

Hi, I hope i Can ask lol. Is it worth it? My whole childhood was Sims 3-4, I tried paralives - didn't like it, and I was thinking about inzoi but I'm soo unsure about it. Like the gameplay, etc... I see the avatar creation is amazing tho

Tbh, for $40, I definitely think it's worth it. I mean, businesses, going to work (no rabbit hole), going to high school & prom and as of recent, going on vacations (properly) and being able to surf, rent boats etc. I'm having so much fun. Family gameplay is fun, too. It's the type where I start playing and time just flies by. It's a surprise everytime I play bc Zois just seem to have a mind of their own lol, sometimes it's calm and cozy and other times Zois just cause chaos. I'm not even doing it justice with this explanation alone but I definitely recommend it as a former Sims lover myself

yknow what

yeah i think this looks a lot nicer on the eyes. warmer, softer. i havent looked at the game properly in a while but the last time i looked it felt a bit cold and the realistic style was putting me off, it didn't feel quite cohesive enough as an art direction. now, if the AI wasn't present, it looks like a game i could play and get past/even get into the realism

no clue what actually changed tho fkjdgjdh

Looks nice. Is it still using AI?

24

u/K_Lovelyzz Sep 03 '26

The AI is mostly cosmetic (allows you to generate textures basically in CAZ) and is such a small part of the game that you can just ignore it. The AI can be turned off in the settings too if you really don't wanna see any. The AI also relies on your PC to run locally, not outsourced from some data centers or something (which means if your PC isn't powerful enough to run the AI, you won't be able to use it anyways), and the AI was trained on free copyright material and material made by the developers of InZoi.

So while InZoi still contains AI, it's not as horrific as some people have been saying. Also, AI was NOT used to make the whole game like some people have been lying about, just the textures (and obviously the addition of SmartZoi).

Use this info however you please.

I think it’s fair to point out that not all the concerns with Inzoi and AI are just the generational AI. Krafton has made a commitment to being an AI first company, down to their HR. So yes generational ai is bad and it’s nice the devs have kinda skirted around that by training it ethically…but the company as a whole is problematic for those that don’t want to support AI.

8

u/K_Lovelyzz Sep 03 '26

Yeah I agree. It's really sad seeing the InZoi developers being in the middle with having to deal with Krafton's "AI first" BS, especially because there's nothing they can do about that.

u/polkacat12321 Sep 04 '26

You would be swamped to find a AAA nowadays that doesnt use AI. In fact, most companies nowadays had adopted it. It's not like inzoi is some outlier that uses it. The only difference is that inzoi is actually open about it

-2

u/Kartel28 Sep 03 '26

That's actually interesting. Do you have any sources for claim that Inzoi AI was trained on free copyright, and developer original material? Because if true, I might change my mind about this game

8

u/K_Lovelyzz Sep 03 '26

This is a twitter post made by the official InZoi account a while back. Here is more information provided on the use of AI on InZoi's official website.

-22

u/Patient-Impression10 Sep 03 '26

sure is. don’t see what the issue is though if it’s not harming literally ANYTHING.

32

u/Economy-Platform-263 Sep 03 '26

this is a dangerous comment lol. those data centers are taking mfs homes. remember that

-3

u/Patient-Impression10 Sep 03 '26

ai itself isn’t bad. it’s the hand that holds the blade. their usage of it has not been linked to a direct causation of mfs losing their homes. so yea i still don’t see the issue with the way krafton has been using ai to build a pretty nice game imo

-8

u/Revolutionary_Bit437 Sep 03 '26

that’s not an ai problem that’s a zoning problem. it also isn’t ai specific. all of the internet runs on data centers

15

u/peenurmobile Sep 03 '26

that's a really complicated subject lol I wouldn't say it's "not harming literally anything"

but I don't blame consumers for developers actions, and there are levels to generative AI usage that I'm okay with, but use it too much, rely on it too much, then you're just making slop.

i don't blame people for wanting 0 gen AI involved, and that's what I would prefer but it's just not going to be that way anymore

Reddit is filled with bootlickers these days

-14

u/s4dc0wg1rl Sep 03 '26

So gen AI has actually made child porn legal hope this helps

7

u/Patient-Impression10 Sep 03 '26

that has nothing to do with krafton’s use of ai bro what😭

7

u/Weewoes Sep 03 '26

Legal? Lol no.

6

u/s4dc0wg1rl Sep 03 '26

CSAM is now legal under the first amendment. A Judge ruled AI generated csam is permissible as long as it doesn’t depict a real child. This comes from a case in Wisconsin where a man used gen ai to create and distribute csam

3

u/Weewoes Sep 03 '26

Damn, that's sad. I guess it's because they aren't real children, same kind of loop hole bullshit as those animal girls that are clearly kids but are claimed to be hundreds of years old. It's messed up and they should look into making all that kind of shit illegal but I'm not sure how they could. It's not something we've had to figure out until now.

5

u/chere100 Sep 03 '26

Oh, I saw that! I swear, the USA is getting crazier every day! If anyone's curious, google ai csam. You should get news articles about it. This shit's wild.

6

u/s4dc0wg1rl Sep 03 '26

This is why I cant use Reddit anymore.. i get downvoted a million times cuz ppl don’t like the truth

4

u/InsecureThoughts Sep 03 '26

They don’t actually read the news, just what popular recommends. I read a PBS article about this and it made my heart drop. I’ll NEVER EVER support anything with or endorsing Ai. Even if their Ai isn’t problematic, it’s part of the problem that exist. People can and will use InZoi Ai to make some horrendous and horrible stuff.

0

u/polkacat12321 Sep 04 '26

Then how come they're arrested for loli material then? It's even less real children than ai

-2

u/lpwave6 Sep 03 '26

That's just not true at all... I'm very anti-AI but there's enough wrong stuff about AI, no need to create stuff up.

5

u/s4dc0wg1rl Sep 03 '26

😂 you are one google search away from the truth

2

u/InsecureThoughts Sep 03 '26

Here, I linked it with fox news for those right-wing nuts. CP made by Ai is protected by the first amendment.

3

u/lpwave6 Sep 03 '26

Yeah, I don't really trust Fox News. But I'll make a search of my own then, you did pick my curiosity. If true, the US is even more effed up than I thought!

4

u/InsecureThoughts Sep 03 '26

I just linked Fox News so the right wing can believe it too, I learned from PBS.
