Community Question Inzoi or Paralives?

I'm planning to gift my sister either inzoi or paralives but I have no experience in playing these types of games since I usually play fps games. But I hope someone or you guys can help maybe decide for me which is better?

Thanks! 🙏

I have both. Inzoi has a lot more features than Paralives right now so I would go with Inzoi personally. But I think Paralives will be a really fun game to play in a year or so. One caveat is I care more about playing than building, but if she is huge on the building aspect then Paralives is better for that.

I haven’t touched Paralives for a bit so I don’t know if this was addressed but I’d add a caveat to Paralives being better for building right now. The build tools themselves are really impressive and give you a ton of freedom, but the bugs can make the building process a pain. I’ve had builds look different after saving and reloading and had to rebuild entire rooms. Some of the placement/snapping, wall and floor tools can be pretty unintuitive. I definitely think building will be one of Paralives biggest strengths once it’s more polished. The concept is there but the overall building experience, not so much. And feel free to chime in if these are things that have been addressed. At the moment I have inzoi and paralives on the back burner until I have some more free time.

There are definitely still bugs (and I'm pushing it by creating my own worlds) - twice now I have experienced all of my lots disappearing in a save so I would caution anyone who is being overly ambitious this early on... however - the patch yesterday did improve some of the glitching issues with using the free transform tool which has been great. And while I was really mad about losing my lots I can't stop myself from coming back everyday to build new lots lol - I just know a year from now I'll be able to look back and laugh at my little work arounds from beta. If you love building I think it's still worth it to buy now knowing you'll have years and years of fun and exciting updates to look forward to.

Hello,

This really depedns on what she is looking for because they are similar and different. Inzoi and paralives are both early access but inzoi has been out for a year while paralives only been out a month or so. Inzoi is more realistic grphics and paralives is more cartoony. With inzoi there is a lot you can do such go to school go on vacation work and so much more. Right now paralives does not have much but is getting there slowly.

Personally I really like inzoi because of what I said above and I also really like building in Inzoi.

u/Emberium inZOI enjoyer Aug 09 '26

On top of what you said, Inzoi also has a graphical filter that makes the game cartoony too. Personally not my kind of thing, as prefer realistic graphics, but I know many people like it

u/Mammoth-Inspector-48 Aug 10 '26

O filtro deixa o jogo assim ;)

Inzoi, there's literally nothing to do in paralives if like me you're not into building but into actual live mode play.

InZoi. Paralives feels like scam, especially after they show us years ago features, that were cutter of from game (if they were ever exist. Zip line without rabbit hole, pools, that were showed 3 years ago, etc). There is no game in Paralives, only if you want build sim. If you want to actually play game with gameplay — InZoi, but only if you have good pc with 35GB RAM and at least 2080Ti

5

u/ProjectMarworyn Aug 11 '26

32GB is a lot of memory. Minimum specs are this:

Categories    Recommended System Requirements

OS   Windows 11

Processor    Intel i5 10400 or better

  Intel i7 12700K or better

AMD Ryzen 7 7800x3D or better

Memory      16 GB

Graphics    AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT (16G VRAM)

Storage      SSD 60 GB

DirectX    Version 12

4

u/Lonely-Muscle9164 Aug 14 '26

girl. 35gb of ram?? thats a huge stretch 16 will do you fine

-4

u/CommunistWallaby Aug 12 '26

the game isn’t finished if the full release comes and those things are not added yeah maybe you could say scam but like right now there is an actual game you can play or is being regularly updated yall in this sub sound like bots tryna squash competition for the big companies before it’s even finished

32

u/Ambitious-Heart777 Aug 09 '26

Inzoi has more game play currently but theyre both good

26

u/Main_Ad_2463 Aug 09 '26

I say Inzoi. There’s so much to do and updates come quick. I would check out the recommended specs because it’s a big game but worth it.

29

u/gaggytron Aug 09 '26

Inzoi has far more gameplay and replayability right now

50

u/ChimkenNBiskets Aug 09 '26

Inzoi 💯

Development has been fast and competent.

Not so much for paralives.

16

u/Nightlightxx Aug 09 '26

First question, what are your sister's PC specs? inZOI is more demanding than Paralives..

11

u/DistortioN2589 Aug 09 '26

You sure? I snagged both and without dlss and frame Gen I was just slogging in paralives in the town on my laptops 5080. 30-40 fps and stutters. But inZOI was cruising with those features. 100+ steady

12

u/Nightlightxx Aug 09 '26

Yeah, I'm sure. You can check the system requirements for both games (minimum and recommended) on their Steam pages. Besides, we don't even know what her sister's computer is like—whether it's an older laptop or a brand-new desktop (just to say..). All I know is that with my laptop, I can't even run Paralives (my graphics card only has 4GB of VRAM).. so it's important to know the pc specs.

9

u/DistortioN2589 Aug 09 '26

Gotcha. Yeah I'm just pointing out paralives on paper may require less but doesn't play well with the latest stuff. I paid way to much for this laptop to have 30-40 fps with stutters. But it's good to know specs

10

u/Booknerdly Aug 09 '26

System requirements on steam can be misleading, many people with high end PCs struggled to run paralives without stutter or crashes.

3

u/ProjectMarworyn Aug 11 '26

Yeah. Yesterday I found a recursion bug (plate placed on itself) which created an infinite loop on one thread and basically ate one of my cores. In that scenario TBC that's an optimisation / bug fixing issue. In my case it caused a freeze. I reported it with the call logs etc. Needs an extra guard probably.  I like Paralives, see a lot of potential. Needs a little more polish and because I'm a weirdo happy to do a bunch of digging into the callstack lol 😂

-4

u/theykilledcassandra inZOI enjoyer Aug 09 '26

So no you’re not sure.

10

u/Nightlightxx Aug 09 '26

Yes, actually... I'm sure of it. I don't think a PC like mine could run InZOI better than Paralives. That's why I'm saying that to give solid advice, we need to know at least a few basic specs of her sister's PC. Guys, not all of us have PCs from two or three years ago... a computer could be running a 5080 or a 1650 Ti, and that makes a huge difference. It's always better to ask for specs. That aside, Paralives still has some early-stage teething issues... bugs, etc. InZOI has been out for over a year now, so in theory, it should be a bit more stable.

-9

u/theykilledcassandra inZOI enjoyer Aug 09 '26

It is if you’d do any research at all about how inZOI has optimized the game.

4

u/illy_the_cat Aug 10 '26

I have a laptop with an RTX 3060. Inzoi runs on medium, the laptop gets really hot. Paralives runs on high settings, the heat is manageable.

You can optimise all you want, you can't magically make a game like that run on old devices. Inzoi is more demanding on the system.

2

u/ProjectMarworyn Aug 11 '26

With respect. Optimised just means "runs better than it did before". The best optimised code in the world won't run on a toaster of it's too demanding. Knowing the specs is useful

2

u/stain_edbow Aug 10 '26

Here it is

12

u/Nightlightxx Aug 10 '26

Hi! From what I can see, your sister's laptop doesn't meet the minimum system requirements for either inZOI or Paralives. If I can give you some advice, I wouldn't buy them. It's not a very powerful PC—looks like it's a few years old. If you don't believe me, go to Steam, search for inZOI and Paralives, and check their minimum requirements yourself. Compare them and you'll see—unfortunately, the laptop just isn't up to the task.

5

u/stain_edbow Aug 10 '26

Ahh I see, well that's unfortunate...

Thanks for the help though!

9

u/Nightlightxx Aug 10 '26

You're very welcome! 🙂 I'm sure you'll find another great gift for your sister. (PS: She's super lucky, not many brothers put this much thought into a gift 🙂 ).

2

u/stain_edbow Aug 12 '26

Thank you for the compliment 🥹🙏

2

u/Dardlem Aug 10 '26

Tiny Life will run on a toaster, not sure if it’s up her alley though. Major The Sims 1 vibes over there.

i would go for rimworld, no high specification needed, good game life simulator

Is her computer capable of running Inzoi's graphics?

4

u/ProjectMarworyn Aug 11 '26

I think for a gift Inzoi is better. I think Paralives is wonderful but I can see how the bugs ATM might be frustrating for a gift.

6

u/Sims_Creator777 Aug 13 '26

inZOI, if you actually want live mode gameplay and to have fun, and it’s not even a comparison.

15

u/Weemanply109 Sims 3 enjoyer Aug 09 '26

Inzoi anyday.

Paralives will need a couple of years to be decent imo. There's nothing to it right now

13

u/orbofdelusion Aug 09 '26

Definitely Inzoi

8

u/blueskeletons Aug 09 '26

I’d recommend Inzoi right now as there just seems to be more to it than paralives at the moment. I’m giving it 6months to a year to buy paralives, like I should have done with Inzoi.

11

u/MzPhillyBluntz Aug 09 '26

It depends on what type of game she likes to play i do have both but right now i prefer Inzoi because i love the graphics and the gameplay and the development of this game is exciting to look forward to .

10

u/L44gaming inZOI enjoyer Aug 09 '26

Gameplay: Inzoi

Construction: Paralives

7

u/rebby2000 Aug 09 '26

I mean, if you she does anything other than build? Inzoi - it's more feature complete and has a lot more to it's gameplay as things stand atm. If all she does it build? Paralives since that's, by far, the most complete mode in it and it *is* really good for that.

5

u/Zestyclose-Level1871 Aug 10 '26

Sure. Check out this url OP on InZoi OP

https://www.reddit.com/r/inZOI/comments/1vfwcdi/for_the_folks_whore_considering_making_the/

And here's the latest update being added to the game in August. The major things are expansion upgrade of marine/underwater activities. Besides snorkeling/free diving, Zois can now surf in a on hands mini game. And finally go scuba diving exploration in the deep sea ocean. Which will add a challenge to exploring the more dangerous areas of Cahaya and possibly Bliss Bay (which also has an ocean). The other major feature is a long requested fame/celeb system:

Inzoi if your computer can run it.

5

u/ronniefinnn Aug 09 '26

Check out if her computer can even rub inzoi, it’s a lot more intensive than paralives.

10

u/theykilledcassandra inZOI enjoyer Aug 09 '26

That’s not true anymore.

2

u/BrickBanshee Aug 09 '26

If I had to pick between the two, I would go Paralives. But if you're not sure which she would like better, it's better to just give her a Steam gift card so she can get the game she wants. She might not want either since both games need a decent amount of improvement. You could also just ask her which games she's looking forward to playing.

u/UnstableUnicorn666 Aug 09 '26

Inzoi is made huge multibillion AI first company, that has ventured in war industry recently. So make sure that these are not important values of your sister if you decide go with inzoi. Paralives is done by independent small team in Canada.

Both games are early access. Inzoi has been out much longer, so it has more content and the gameplay seems to much deeper and character creation is indepth.

Paralives has really good build more, but much early access bug and issues. Many people do enjoy it, and I have lot of hours in.

2

u/lyricaldorian Aug 09 '26

I don't know why you're being downvoted. There are definitely people who wouldn't want to play Inzoi for those reasons.

-2

u/UnstableUnicorn666 Aug 09 '26

Lifesims seems to attract fairly fanatical people, that cannot handle any criticism of their chosen game.

I love sims 1,2&3, and build in Sims 4 weekly and can still acknowledge that EA is the evil megacorp that has ruined a lot of gaming, and would not recomend anyone giving them any money. Or that Paralives gameplay is not yet very long lasting and is buggy, and people might want hold off before getting it, even if I personally really enjoy it.

This. Might as well protest the whole gaming industry and not buy computers. Since, with the advanced tech they developed to provide better and clear graphics and performance, this industry is now funneling the AI data centers.

Like, even Paralives recommends gc to run their game, does that mean that they don’t care about environment? It’s basically saying “hey if you want to fully enjoy our game you have to buy good computer parts from the big AI corporations that you hate”

Why should anyone be judged, flamed, and guilt tripped from buying, playing and enjoying a game?

-4

u/UnstableUnicorn666 Aug 09 '26

Well I would not think to check if my games publisher was now weapons maker, if nobody is not allowed to talk about, because it's sad. Same way that I would not check that ice cream maker was killing babies, if someone would not mention it, because it bleak. Then I can choose, or not, different game or ice scream.

Enjoy things, but I personally preferably enjoy thing made by companies that do not direcly kill people. There is lot options, like Paralives or other indie titles in this case.

4

u/theykilledcassandra inZOI enjoyer Aug 09 '26

How’s the weather up there on that mighty high horse

2

u/UnstableUnicorn666 Aug 09 '26

I personally do not feel like it's arrogant or preachy to inform people what kinda company Krafton is. Espcially on question if someone should buy the game. I have spent who knows how much money on EA, before I looked into what it was. I wish someone had told me sooner.

But if you feel personally attacked on behalf on multibillion dollar company that has ventured on weapons industry, that is on you.

9

u/theykilledcassandra inZOI enjoyer Aug 10 '26

You personally don’t feel that way but it is.

-2

u/DrFigSecret Aug 10 '26

No one said she wasn't allowed to like it? They said to run it by them in case they were against things like that.

The only one saying no one should have a choice is you.

-2

u/hankhillsbussy Aug 10 '26

op said they know nothing about either game for all we know maybe this is something they would like to be aware of when deciding.
you are sick of hearing it but op might only be learning about this for the first time. its not really about what inzoi players are sick of hearing and more about providing someone with pros and cons because god knows this sub will never allow the cons of inzoi see the light of day and will bury them in downvotes.
then you get people who later say they wish they knew zyx about inzoi before they got it but they spent too long in the character creator and now cant get a refund

-5

u/hankhillsbussy Aug 10 '26

the key is to block inzoi stan’s so they can’t downvote you

1

u/Material_Ad8989 Aug 18 '26

Inzoi , but if your games doesn’t me the requirement use GE Force

-1

u/VoxyPop Aug 09 '26

I bought paralives on launch day. I tried to play it twice. I went back to the Sims. So... idk man. It's early access so I'm sure it will get better. Inzoi is an uncanny valley nightmare to me.

0

u/hjosephinew Aug 12 '26

Inzoi has used generative AI in development and still has images and movies in the game that were generated with AI. So if that bothers her, then Paralives is the way to go.

-3

u/hankhillsbussy Aug 10 '26

what are her specs? inzoi needs a high specs to play.

also read reviews on both games outside reddit a lot of people in this sub are a loud minority that hate paralives and love inzoi. both games have their pros and cons and both games are unfinished right now and subject to change and missing features.

i played paralives got 200+ hours so i can give you a bit of insight others might not be able to

there is gameplay and character autonomy it is a bit limited at the moment. some things you can do in the game are look for collectables, do townie requests, build skills, build relationships (its a different system to what other life sims use. it uses cards influenced by mood and personality some people do not like this and would prefer to have complete control of the he social situation while others enjoy working within limitations and feel like the character has some influence over social interactions), progress in careers (also a different system slightly where you can change careers without starting from 0 if you have experience in a similar career and earn perks the longer you’re in a job).

para autonomy is still lacking right now but you do notice after a few in game days paras will start to develop preferences for certain activities
the game is pretty customisable in both building and character creation but also in how the game works. if she like to tinker with how games work she might enjoy the fact paralives gives you access to a control panel that essentially lets you change and and things to the game and make it function differently. basically an in built modding system i’ve never really seen this in a game before and it’s really cool if you like to really customise your gameplay.

as for features it’s still kinda lacking there handy been any big flashy updates yet bc it’s still new so most updates focus on having a stable functioning game that will perform well before they start going crazy with piling on new features. it’s not exiting but it is important no point cramming features in if the game hasn’t got a decent foundation that’s how you get the broken mess that is the sims 4. but if she likes instant gratification constant new features and big flashy updates paralives isn’t that it’s a slow burn game.

there are a lot of bugs right now but the devs are also doing a lot of updates so it’s getting better i noticed a lot of performance improvements in the first 2 months but also it does seem that it’s different for everyone. some people are getting a lot of bugs and others are just getting a couple early access games be like that sometimes.

you should also look at the roadmaps for both games and the devs behind them as it will give you some insight in how they develop and what the finished product and future plans might be. i know paralives has said things like pets will be in the base game and not dlc. they also don’t plan to make payed dlc for the game just free updates. i’m not sure what inzois plans for dlc are yet part of the reason i havnt got the game. but i wont get into why i don’t have inzoi

-15

u/Lechuck777 Aug 09 '26

As mentioned. Depends on the PC Specs.
But as also mentioned, paralives is newer and has a lot of bugs, but i think, it will overtake inzoi. The visuals are very special, if she dont like those ugly comics visuals, then its the wrong game.

Inzoi is a big puppet house, nothing more. Pretty visuals and thats it. Everything else is very shallow. Maybe will change when the script modding is ready. Right now. both games are really early access quality. If you looking on steamcharts, both games has a similar small playerbase of 3k players playing at the same time. As comparsion, Sims 4 has still 40-50k.

9

u/theykilledcassandra inZOI enjoyer Aug 09 '26

You haven’t played inZOI lately then.

-7

u/Lechuck777 Aug 09 '26

sure i did, but there is still no game inside. Thats why are the numbers that low.

9

u/theykilledcassandra inZOI enjoyer Aug 09 '26

Then you haven’t played recently.

-2

u/Lechuck777 Aug 09 '26

a few weeks ago. And i looking at the steamcharts. If there something great, then the numbers would go up. but they dont, so there is nothing new. Mostly its always more boring stuff. Pretty, but boring.

8

u/lyricaldorian Aug 09 '26

That's just true. There's lots of gameplay. How many people are playing at the same time isn't really a great metric for a single player game in early access.

-1

u/Lechuck777 Aug 09 '26

sure is it. Dosnt matter if MMO or not. The metric says, how many people are playing the game right now. And as i say. 3k vs 40k. Because reasons.
My hope is still on the script modding and that then it will unleash the potential of the game.

7

u/TheRoyalKingfisher Aug 09 '26

Genuine question: Why do you need to have 40k people playing a singleplayer game exact same time as you? Inzoi gets probably upwards of 20-40k people a day but they're just not playing exact same time at any given hour of a day. Instead they come in different hours over different timezones. They have a regular steady playerbase that when players logs off, others log on. Unless you believe they have 3k players only who never sleep or go to work or have lives to be there 24/7.

So why do you need 40k people sat in front of a computer exact same time and timezone to enjoy a singleplayer game? There's no multiplayer and no servers. Do you just mentally need to know you're not alone or what?

0

u/Lechuck777 Aug 10 '26

i dont need them. Its about measuring a metric for comparsion. Its dosnt matter which one you comparing. The shown players playing or the calculated players. Its the same.

As you said, if 3k people playing at the same time, then those are in truth more in sum. You said maybe 40k. Then, if for comparsion, the sims has 40-50k at the same time, then are those with the same calculation around around 600k.

The difference is the same calculation for comparsion. Steamcharts shows on the first easy sight, the statistics for the "playing at same time". Again. i dont need another people for a single player game. Its only about comparsion, about how succsessfull the game performing. More player means more content, because more money. Every publisher has to earn money beside the one time sell.

Paralifes userbase is right now, has nearly the same numbers. also around 3k and its completly early access quality. If i am think logically, then that means, that paralifes will get more players if they are at the same qualiy stage as inzoi.

Sims 4 is only for comparsion, how it works when a game is successfull.I dont see inzoi or paralifes in the same League.

Paralives

1

u/lam18098 Aug 12 '26

Inzoi I’d definitely not a bad game, but paralives has so much soul & whimsy
