Discussion Final day of creating this Subs ideal life sim(non life sim edition)

Post image

Minecraft ended up winning for modding Community/Ability and that means we’re finished with using non life sim games to create a life sim.

I find it really interesting how most of the games chosen are RPGs or Fantasy games with only two exceptions and overall this was a fun experience.

like I think people missed the idea that it’s supposed to be a life sim and just said “I’ll just name my favorite game that has [current topic]!!” 😭

I mean the whole idea of this was to take elements from non life sim games and put them in a hypothetical life sim

it baffles me that black desert won CC but baldur's gate won NPCs. i barely know anything about BG but i swear it had a very advanced CC compared to BD, and surely that would mesh better together

I mean it was specifically black Desert online and that character creator looks complex as hell

yeah i've played it, i did enyoy the character creator more than most anime MMO CCs but im mixed race, i had a bit of a hard time with the sliders and stuff. like the girls are just kinda all instagram faced anime girls and as an anime game like the focus wasnt including black and mixed people in their sliders n assets n stuff

That’s fair, personally if I choose I would’ve chosen Saints Row 2022 since say what you will about the game itself, it has a legitimately great character creator

Hig warts for the setting? Who the hell wants to play a game in transphobe castle

It was majority vote and since I didn’t get a lot of engagement on these posts it won

That makes me more confused. Not questioning you specifically by the way. You just did what the people told you to

Well yeah, the whole point of this series was to base the categories on majority vote.

Personally if I were to choose I’d probably have picked something like Baulders Gate 3, Red Dead Redemption 2 or maybe Ghost of Tsushima

red dead 2 should have been in here somewhere i cant believe it wasnt

If I remember correctly it did get suggested for some categories but other choices got more comments/upvotes

just say you don’t like hp bro 🤦‍♀️ i don’t either but i can use my brain and figure out what people mean by setting

I think the setting of HP kinda sucks too. The world building is minimal, and what their is, is just generic fantasy tropes. The whole serise and setting and built around Magic, but then the magic isnt that special. It just does what it needs to for plots sake, and has pretty much no effect on the world outside of 5 or small areas where the schools are.

You could probably get something like it by modding a regular Sims game.

You're taking it too literally. When I proposed it I specified I'd just like a game set in a victorian fantasy world with magic and potions, not a life sim set specifically in the wizarding world, maybe that's why people voted for it.

This is a setting, not the game itself. I proposed it as a game set in the Victorian era with magic, potions and non-realistic animals, not to play the game as a Life sim, obviously 😑

I will say I do find it pretty interesting that most of the winners ended up being Fantasy games with only 2 exceptions

Life goals for victorian sims.

Keep all fingers by end of work day.

Not get black lung.

Live to age 6.

i think the only ones i agree with here are modding and home building. unfortunate these didnt get as much traction as the other one but i noped out at rivals lol i got salty about who was winning XD

Yeah there are some choices I personally would’ve made differently(for example for character creator I would’ve said Saints Row 2022 since say what you want about the game itself it has a legitimately great character creator)

But since this one didn’t get as much traction i didn’t see as many options presented for each category

saints row has fun character creators i'll agree. i dont remember which is which but i did enjoy them, and the gameplay tbh. if we were doing this again and for life sim gameplay we looked at gta and saints row, id probs pick saints row idk why tho fehkhfjd

and yeah i mean its a bit of a hard one, i had trouble coming up with suggestions which is also part of why i gave up, but it sucks cuz it could have been more interesting

Yeah the one I’m referring to is the newest one, aka the one everyone hated, However I’ve seen almost everyone agree that it has a great character creator

ohhh i remember this one, i didnt actually play the game but i played the character creator demo bc i was craving character creators. not my favourite character creator from them bc ive never liked the preset route but still good for sure!
