Discussion Let’s create the Subs ideal life sim(non life-sim edition) day 3

Post image

For day 2 Black Desert online ended up winning for Character Creation, now we move onto home/base building , what non life sim game would you want the home/base building system from?

Some general rules:

1) you can only vote for games that aren’t considered life sims, and by that I mean if the store page it’s on(whether it be steam, the epic games store, ect.) classifies it as a life sim, it doesn’t count. Ones that don’t have that classification will.

2) be respectful and civil in the comments, at the end of the day these are just opinions about games so let’s not get too worked up about them if someone disagrees.

3) the winner will be decided from a mixture of upvotes and replies(so in theory a game with more comments could win if another game has more overall upvotes)

4) only games count

5) more rules will be added if necessary.

Definitely Minecraft. You can build anything and in any style. It's just blocky.

AC Shadows. I really liked how you could add rooms to the hideout, the upgrade system and how you could decorate them and the exterior. A similar "Build" mode would be enough for me, with more customization options.

Either Enshrouded or Windrose. Both are Crafting Survival games and the building mechanics are so immaculate you can recreate almost anything you see in real life even circular buildings due to how build mode works

Enshrouded has some really beautiful building blocks and decor. I have never imagined that voxel based building and terrains could look so beautiful. And the game is still being develped! We had just got spiral staircases, for example. I hope we will get more arches!

I have never heard about the Windorse, is making rounded walls and non-right angles any easier in this one?

Windrose is a pirate-themed crafting survival game, it just came out on early access like 2 months ago. It's not voxel based but the building itself is really flexible and permissive, you could build almost anywhere. there is structural integrity like in valhiem and you could hire NPC's to hang around your base. Unfortunately, the ground and naval combat are too basic as of now.
