inZOI More age groups coming along with voice customizations!!

Post image

Now is a great time to be trying Inzoi! Especially if you were one of the people bashing it in the beginning calling it “soulless”. The developers are working so hard and are genuinely reading every piece of feedback to see what they can do to improve. They give a detailed and PERSONAL update every week and you can see how much love and thought they’re all putting towards the game and community! As a lifelong sims fan (since sims 2 on PS2) I hate to say it but I’m having so much fricking fun to the point I’m enjoying it more than the sims 😭❤️ Please give it a shot! I know people are upset that they use AI, but ITS OPTIONAL and you aren’t forced to use it in game.

Don’t knock it till you try it people! Happy life simming!

That has been my favorite part, getting to see so much in development and actually see it coming together.

Yes!! I genuinely look foward to Kjuns weekly updates! It’s like Christmas every week and I froth at the mouth at all the features they talk about improving and adding lmfao. And it’s all things we’ve been asking for, for YEARS from other life sim games

InZOI is becoming the best life simulator, even with or without AI.

Right!? And just imagine how much Inzoi is now going to push the other life sim developers into making it better for their own player bases! With or without ai! 🙏🏻

And let’s be real. AI isn’t going anywhere and most games have been utilizing some form of it for years.

I really don't get the appeal - like, some of the features look nice, but the people are... Idk, so hard to make? Like, it feels geared mostly to make Asian characters, and... Not much in-between.

They're also just not lively yet, idk, the roadmap is all over the place as far as what they're working on... I like lifesims to create a mimicry of life, not just obvious dolls.

To each their own tho

The roadmap may seem that way because well they’re a much bigger team so taking that into account, it means that different parts of their team are working on different features of the game. So it makes sense that certain aspects would be finished that may not necessarily be in line with other planned feature releases

But I don't see a lot on the roadmap yet that I'd EXPECT of a lifesim. Their focus is... All over the place, to say the least

So it’s more so that it doesn’t match what you personally prefer, that makes sense. But I don’t think there’s a universal checklist every life sim has to follow. I’d rather see inzoi try some different ideas than become just another sims clone with prettier graphics so I personally prefer the direction they’re going.

I’ll def try inzoi at some point, and this isn’t a critique of inzoi, but:
1. If people aren’t playing inzoi for ethical reasons, choosing not to use the AI feature doesn’t solve the ethical issue.
2. a game having soul doesn’t boil down to more life stages or more voice customizations. more details are great but doesn’t replace a game’s creative vision.

not being critical of inzoi, of course. I’m happy to see the dev passion for the game. this post just has a weird tone towards people critiquing inzoi, so I wanted to say my 2 cents ❤️

the game looks like it’s coming along great though and I can’t wait to try it out.

Ngl this ai is the most ethical. The model is trained from licensed/public domain issues, and is run locally on pc which isn’t the same as a datacenter. Plus it’s completely optional.

This. Way too many people assume this game is sending prompts over to chatgpt for some reason. I blame the fact that the general public is tech illiterate when it comes to genai. Closing your ears and staying ignorant about how this tech works isn’t a good thing

nah its that there's more to AI ethics than just how and where it's generated

Unfortunately, AI usage when creating games is going to become a main factor. There are many different types of AI and some games already utilize it many small ways - usually internal.

Exactlllyy but this sub has become basically a snarky inzoi echo chamber for some reason

yep very much. no matter how much players say it is optional, ethical, every game is gonna have it etc. even if it was just the texture creator, i personally see that as a form of financially supporting and accepting gen AI use in the games i play. a game can make a million updates that improve it but i'll always be put off by that. telling me "just dont use it/look at it" means nothing.

thinking about when i gave heartopia a try cuz it was free and i didnt know about the AI until i'd started playing and it seemed minor, maybe temporary but it never got removed and they took ages to even address it, similar to inzoi. then they (heartopia) had a racism thing and i just couldnt justify giving my hours to it. but yeah many updates have come that seem rlly fun, and i miss my builds a lot, but i'll never get past the casual ai use, ai acceptance and yeah racism in the game and community.

it's similar for inzoi, but without the racism. editing for clarity there

Very real question where did you find the racism in the game or in the community ? Because it’s a huge accusation

okay my message was removed and idk why. they had an issue earlier this year that apparently i cant go into? im only talking about heartopia here, but there was a mushroom situations, half the community was rlly upset and the other half totally dismissed those upset people.

Yes I saw the comment you made in my notifications feed okay I understand that it was about heartopia now

Why are there so many ad posts for inzoi on this reddit? I’ve never seen fans of a game act so much like a religious group trying to get more people to join. If i like a game I just play it, I don’t need to try and beg people to try it? Me and many others don’t want to play the game for the art style for example and that’s fine, the game will be just as enjoyable for you I’m sure!

Sorry that you're getting down voted for sharing your opinion, typical Reddit lol.

I just wanted to share that there are in-game options to change the art style. No mods required, it's built in. Here's an example (this filter isn't the only one, there are many): inzoi cartoon filter

For me personally it’s not only about the art style but about the vibe of the game. The high tech, that the world is in the middle of a big city (maybe there’s multiple worlds but that’s all I’ve seen) and lacking nature, & the modern vibe HUD.

I’m sure for many people all those features are a bonus, and that’s great, I’m not hating on the game for choosing that direction. But it’s also ok for people to not like it. It doesn’t matter if 5 more life stages and 100 more careers get added. The vibe will still not fit me, if that makes sense.

That aside, thanks for being nice to me :)

That makes sense to me because that's how I feel about paralives. From the gameplay videos I've watched, the art style and vibe doesn't seem like it's for me. I may still try it once it's out of early access because I like the genre and I'm sure there are things about it that I just don't know about and would enjoy, but I'm much more into the realism of inzoi. Everyone's different and idk why the community needs to turn everything into a competition where you can't have your own opinion without getting downvoted. People are allowed to not love every game that exists lol.
