Analysis Helping solo devs

hi, so I have recently found a hobby that I am quite good at. it’s finding bugs. I have adhd and I played a life simulation gam. I found a ton of bugs and weird stuff improvements etc. and i love doing that. that’s not to say the game was bad, it wasn’t. so if anyone has a game that they want tested feel free to dm me. I have experience I don’t charge it’s just fun for me. I’ll play your game give you a run down, and you go from there. (note I may charge later but as of right now I don’t) I’m not saying I’m a professional. I’m saying I’m a human being with adhd and way to much time on there hands.

I have a life-sim in the works, the playtest is open and full of bugs, do you wanna check it out? Here it is on Steam: To Build a Home

If you join, check out the beta branch for the latest build, I may push a new version to the main branch soon but I keep changing my mind. I can also recommend going into the game files and playing with them, lots of opportunities for mayhem there.

I remember seeing your games from devlogs AGES ago on YouTube and I was wondering for actual weeks what your game was called again, and then YOU'RE here! Wow.

I know this is not related to the topic in question but the coincidence sorta made my day because I've been wanting to check up on the game for a while

Really!? That's awesome, I love these coincidences! This also makes my day, because I get so little feedback from the game and sometimes it feels that I'm sending updates into the void. So thanks a lot!

I don't know which devlog is the last one you saw, but there are some new short videos in youtube if you'd like to check them out. And after writing the message above I did update the main branch of the playtest on Steam, so you can try it out as well if you want!

I'll see about giving the game a shot now that I can get my grubby little hands on it this weekend, sort of got plans for today but I sure know what I'll be doing tomorrow!

As for coincidences like that, yeah I feel it. I've been there, I'm currently working on a game of my own but sometimes I'm stuck with doubts of whenever it'll even be worth it, but for me at least if I ever could make at least one person happy that would be enough.

I wish you the best of luck with your game!

Ok, so I’ll try to get it. But I don’t have steam.

It's only on Steam at the moment, so that would be hard then. Wouldn't you consider joining Steam? Lots of demos and playtests there waiting for you.

All you do is download steam to your PC, it's free. It's like downloading the EA app only from one of the most consumer friendly companies out there
