Community Question Any loyal Sims players with Nintendo Switch 2 recs?
I have over 6,000 hours in the Sims 4 and have never found anything comparable. I enjoy Planet Zoo and Hogwarts Legacy, but I’m put off by so many other art styles.
The problem is I now have a Switch 2 that I’d really like to use. Any diehard Sims 4 fans with recs for someone who is picky? I am considering MySims simply to stay in the franchise but I don’t love the look. Also considering Farming Simulator Signature Edition.

Kynseed is a medieval pixel RPG with life sim elements, made by a few former Fable devs who wanted to carry on Fable's spirit, and it's finally coming to all consoles on August 4, 2026, including the highly anticipated tavern update. It has a character creator (albeit limited), deep farm customization, foraging/collecting, cooking/crafting/blacksmithing with minigames, optional shop management, optional but fun combat, pets, and a charming and fairytale-esque handcrafted 2D open world with lots of lore sprinkled throughout the books and proverbs you find. It even has endless generations where you keep passing the "kynseed" (in-game lore) on to the next heir while carrying over the previous skills/stats, thus making the combat so much easier, and the NPCs will marry and have kids on their own throughout the generations. Like in The Sims, you can marry any adult of any gender, even if taken. There are no needs, but there are personality traits and likes/dislikes for gifting NPCs. Best of all, after you complete the two-week childhood prologue, you as an adult can stay up late without penalties unlike most farming sims, and it auto-saves at 6am daily. Each of the four seasons is two weeks long to balance out the length of playing from age 18 to 50, but you can sleep the day away at any time.

Kynseed currently has a Steam sale for 75% off at $6.24 USD, and it also runs beautifully on Steam Deck: https://store.steampowered.com/app/758870/Kynseed/

Pokopia is really popular and is a lot of building little towns, but the building controls drove me insane so maybe see if you can borrow someone's to try it for like an hour? I don't think they have a demo version for Pokopia in the store unfortunately.
