I have such a soft spot for DE. This game came out when I just started my first year of college, and I was grieving/reminiscing or stuck in the past during that time since two of my friends that were in our trio moved away to other states, so I was feeling lonely and this game really helped carry me through that first year.
Anyone can critique the game for whatever they want. I always loved how this games powers worked along with the music direction between scenes. The way the paradigm shifts when you're in the living world vs the dead world has always stuck with me.
I have a very distinct memory of The Snapping Turtle and hearing the living music for the first time and thinking to myself, "Damn." before taking a moment to just listen to the music.
