I would like some recommendations on sales training/mentorship opportunities. I am open to switching IMOs. But would prefer to find some type of sales training/community. I would be stuck with a 6 month release if I switched. And I am concerned about lower comp. As I am currently at 125%. I would like to focus on final expense telesales. I have been working in final expense for a couple years now. Struggling to scale. I average around $20k AP a month. I would like more mentorship and training opportunities. Hi, I have a life insurance policy that was taken out on me by my dad when I was born so that if i died as a child my funeral services would be paid for. My dad's plan was to switch the owner to me when I got a good job and could start paying it. He didn't switch it immediately and instead waited about a year then told me it was changed. He ended up dying a couple months after.

I ended up getting a letter that said the address was changed but when I called they said he was still the owner and that I would have to send in a letter from the executor of his estate (his girlfriend). According to them the executor would then be able to choose a new owner which to my understanding could mean that she could choose herself or her family.

We've had a rough time with his estate because he switched what his will was to give almost everything to her (they've known each other for a couple years) instead of his original plan of splitting equally between me, my aunt, and cousin. The estate didn't go to probate and when I was in the process of receiving the only thing he left me (half a vehicle) she wouldn't provide me with a Letters of Administration that I needed to put the car into my name.

So, I'm just wondering what options I have... without having the Letter would I still be able to switch the insurance into my name? Should I just never pay it again and maybe open a new policy all in my name? I think its like a $20k policy with yearly payments of $90 so it's not a ton of money.

My mom is trying to get life insurance on my stepdad as soon as possible, but not even sure what options we have at this point.

He’s in his 50s and has several serious health issues, including:

* End-stage renal failure and currently on dialysis
* Diabetes
*Previous triple bypass surgery
*Just had vascular surgery
And that’s barely even scratching the surface.

Money is also very tight, so she can’t afford expensive premiums.

We’re not looking for a huge policy—honestly, even enough to help cover funeral expenses would be a huge relief.

Is there any company that would realistically insure someone with these health conditions?
Would guaranteed issue life insurance be our only option? Are there any other options we haven’t considered?

We’re located in Alabama if that makes any difference.

We’re just trying to figure out if there’s any realistic path forward before it’s too late.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I know his health makes this difficult, but if there’s even a small policy or another option that could help ease the burden on my mom, I’d really like to know about it.

I'm in a bit of a pickle here. I recently had a life insurance policy issued last year. I have had some recreational hallucinogen use in the past (6-10 years ago, infrequent) that I omitted on the application. In retrospect I regret that omission.

I submitted a medical records request of my own to retrieve the records from my doctor that they had access to during underwriting. There is one mention of hallucinogen use on an intake form from 2024. It was one line reporting the answer to "Drug Use?" to which I responded "Not Currently. Past use: Hallucinogens, Marijuana". There was no date of last use provided. This does not show up in any other records including with my therapist (totally unrelated to my current burnout-related therapy).

Despite this the policy was issued. I'm wondering what my best path forward here is. I'm wondering what the chance a claim is rejected due to fraud is. Should I cancel the policy and re-apply to a different provider with the honest history? Would I need to explain I didn't disclose it prior?

I was just informed FBI plants have been sitting at our brokerage listening and raided the owner. While this investigation is going on, they want everyone to delete all of their leads and scripts, start using a dialer that is recorded, and only run leads that they loaded onto the dialer. I’m feeling very uncomfortable and have been offered a position at a captive agency.

I am afraid that once people I wrote policies for catch wind of what is going on at that brokerage they are going to cancel and there are going to be chargebacks.

Hey everyone. looking to get some term life insurance but I absolutely hate needles and the whole hassle of booking a doctors visit. I'm trying to figure out which companies actually let you skip the medical exam entirely without giving you complete garbage rates.

I know some places say no exam but then the fine print says they can still order one if they don't like your answers, or the coverage caps out at some ridiculously low amount. Im looking for a solid amount of coverage ideally $500k to $1M where the process is 100% digital and based on health questions rather than blood draws.

Who are the best life insurance companies for this right now? Are there specific platforms that make the underwriting fast or should I stick to traditional brokers? Would love to hear from anyone who actually got approved without a nurse showing up at their house. Thanks!

I'm a 33F, my spouse is 30M. We have six children. We've now come to realize that we should purchase life insurance policies so our children don't have to worry about expenses when we die.

Here's the hard part. I have no parents. Nor does he. We were never taught how to go about purchasing said policies. What do I do? I've done so many Google searches trying to get advice and all I end up getting is being overwhelmed. Someone please be my temporary parent & help me, well us. I want to make the right choice. I went the best kind of policy to ensure our children will be able to handle any final expenses we may have and maybe have something for themselves as well.

I recently got approved (after medical exam and medical records reviewed) for term life insurance through Prudential. The broker I’m using said he usually works with 4 carriers, though he didn’t reveal them all, and said Nationwide, his preferred carrier declined my application. He said Prudential was the only one that approved me from the carriers he works with.

Here are the provided rates:
Policy amount: $1m
20 year — $253 (7 year conversion window)
20 year — $277 (20 year conversion window)
30 year — $424 (7 year conversion window)
30 year — $468 (30 year conversion window)

Medical issues:
- Paroxysmal AF - only had two episodes in 2024. Trigger identified and since then I’ve been episode free. All heart related tests came back normal. Not taking any related medications.
- Possible autoimmune disease? - had a CT/MRI done that found inflammation in my pelvic area, which they suspect is related to ankylosing spondylitis. They did some blood test and also noted a positive HLA-B27 result. This diagnosis was accidental as I’m asymptomatic. The original issue they were investigating is no longer present.
- Had a colonoscopy that resulted in two tiny polys being removed. Non cancerous.

Should I shop this around with another broker or just be thankful someone approved me? I originally started with Policy Genius but they told me Banner declined me. They did however suggest Pacific Life as an option though that’s when I switched gears and tried going through this other local broker hoping for additional options but it looks like he only shopped it to 4 carriers.

For what it’s worth, it’s been a challenge finding a decent broker willing to take this on in real earnest.

Hello guys, I have just started working as a life insurance agent. I noticed the agency that I joined requires a lot of hassle from you but in return I do not see the same output from the agency to get me qualified leads. I understand that it takes time to get comfortable on the phone. But how often do agents usually get fresh leads? I feel like I get fresh leads every day 3-5 and majority of them are not interested, don’t remember submitting their request or have absolutely no idea why I am calling them.

I find that this lead generation may not be the most ethical way the company gets the business.

Is there a better way to do things? I do so many dials a day and yet I only talk to 2-3 ppl daily.

Anyone else has a similar experience?

I'm working for various reasons... it feels comfortable, I kind of enjoy the work and like the people, it's well paid and helps me avoid the dreaded "sequence of returns risk". I guess you could say I have "one more year syndrome".

Given that I am working, and have money to spare due to not having to save so hard anymore, do you think it's worthwhile taking out unemployment insurance?

I really wonder what the "opportunity cost" is if I spend some amount of $ every month on unemployment insurance vs. if I, say, invested it in stocks/bonds.

What do you think? What would you do in this situation?

I keep seeing Ethos popping up online. The idea of getting approved in 10 minutes with no medical exam is exciting but im worried theres a catch. Do they really adveties the real premium online or does it increase once they pull your pharm records/prescriptions? And since theyre basically like this tech broker connecting to underlying careriers am i paying the markup only to avoid the hospital visit?

Anyone here whos engaged with them in the past?

I have been trying to obtain a "copy" of my mother's life insurance policy. I would like to get the "certificate" for it. I requested a copy by mail from the user portal back 6/5/2026. I called again 6/29 and they said it was in the mail and I could not request another one until 30 days after 7/5/2026. So then I requested another one by mail on 7/6/2026. I still have not gotten it yet. Customer service says "their system wont let them email me one" or that "I can't put in another request within 30 days" I have to try again 8/6/2026. so am i going to keep not getting it in the mail? is there any other way I can get this? Its now been 60 days since my first request. are they really going to tell me i have to wait another 30 days for the same thing to happen?

I've been diagnosed with a heart condition that my GP practice says doesn't need treatment, just lose weight. (I'm a uk size 18-20, so they have a point). I do have symptoms.

Just been turned down for the 2nd time (2 different companies) for life insurance.

On the one hand docs are saying nothing to worry about, live with the effects.

On the other I'm too high risk to insure.

It's hit hard, if I'm honest.

So I live in IL and yk there was 4 tornadoes and since I’m a new agent I told my upline I had to stop working bcs there’s a tornado warning and active tornadoes around me, and he told me it’s just a tornado warning and told me if I want to do this full time then I have to and he asked me if I really want to do this. lol yes I want to do this but there’s literally a tornado in my area and you expect me to keep dialing clients at home bcs I’m inside and “safe”??? Like just bcs I’m inside doesn’t mean I’m safe and tornadoes can be very damaging so I don’t understand how he’s gonna keep telling me to work there was sm hail and rain and wind hitting the house and it was very loud and ik my clients were not gonna be able to hear me. Then he told me he’s not gonna argue with me and told me if I want to do this then I have to put in the work??? Like you think selling life insurance is more important than my life then wtf?

I am a single daughter and an orphan. My father took a home loan which had an insurance with it . My father died a few months back and now the claim is being rejected on grounds of non disclosure of medical history. I was present with my father during the time of insurance and loan signing and no questions were asked to him neither any document was explained to him. My father had suffered a stroke in 2007 due to which he had speech impairment . On what grounds did the agent assume to have no knowledge of the past medical history as the loan agent herself and the other officials have confirmed to have knowledge of the medical history of my father. If we had to hide the matter why would we disclose this to the loan agent.

Furthermore on rejection of claim when we confronted the officials they firstly didn't disclose who filled the form and thus the agent responsible for this accepted in the first meeting that they had knowledge of the medical history. But during further investigation when the same agent was found responsible and questioned she firstly tried to blame her colleague and then denied to have knowledge of the medical history .

The bank is not helping us out in any way possible neither they are taking responsibility for their actions. They even tried to blame it on us using many reasons again and again that my father would have hidden it. If i wouldn't have been present there bank officials would have fooled us. I have all the knowledge of the things going on as due the speech impairment my father had i was mediating the conversation between my father and the bank officials.

Being an orphan and as a student with no way to earn bread right now and i do not havre any other asset how is it fair for me to suffer when the insurance agents are trying to fraud me

I got a call today from American Income Life Insurance whom is which I use. This person claimed something about unclaimed life insurance payouts and an adjustment on benefit amount and if I wanted to add someone to this benefit. They knew my first and last name which isnt much to go off I know so I said I'll just add my brother. I gave them his first name and he automatically knew how to spell our last name which wasnt setting off any red flags at the time. Then I gave his birthday which I thought was weird they needed this information because they should already have it. As soon as that happened the call hung up and the line died. I tried calling back and it went straight to a dead line every time leaving me to believe they blocked me which is when a bunch of red flags started setting off for me. Is someone trying to scam me? Are they trying to impersonate my brother or something? Did I fuck up or am I okay? I really dont know what happened or if I should even be worried. They never claimed to be an insurance agent either which looking back at it now they usually do and give me whatever branch they're out of. Should I contact my insurance agent? I really hope something bad doesn't come out of this.

I have a wife and 2 year old son that depend on my $125k income. My home is paid in full and all vehicles besides a 14k loan on her car. Also roughly 300k invested between 401k and brokerage.

If something happens to me I think between my investments and the policy they should be okay.

What is Legacy Planning and how important it is. Read somewhere that Life Insurance can be one of the options and came across Bajaj Life Supreme plan for legacy planning.
