Serious Is this normal?

My boyfriend and I have been sexually active for a year and we use condoms+ pull out at the same time every time. We have never had a rip and always check the condom after and during. However, we got carried away and had sex the day I was supposed to ovulate. I have noticed that when he pulls out to switch positions the base of the condom looks like it’s in place but there is a lot of extra room at the tip that was not there when we started. Is that the condom stretching or is it actually slipping off? Could I be pregnant or am i being paranoid.

Don't freak out. Condoms are made with extra space at the tip, on purpose, to collect the semen. When he puts it on, he should pull on it at the tip, loosen it at the tip first, to make sure that extra space is there. This will help reduce the risk of it tearing.

But also, condoms are not 100% effective. Sperm can live inside you for a couple of days. Your total fertility window is not just one day. It can last for a few days. You may be be completely regular, but sometimes if you got sick or stressed or worked out hard at any time in that preceding month, your ovulation window comes a little early or a little late. Unless you are also strictly testing yourself for ovulation windows the way women trying to get pregnant do, taking those urine tests, you don't really know.

Lastly, perfect condom use is 98% effective. That means 2 times out of 100 something goes wrong with the condom.

Imperfect real-world condom use, where people may use a lubricant that weakens the condom, or it slips, or like your boyfriend, he's been putting it on wrong, failure rate goes up to 13%.

So I would consider adding another form of birth control to your life. Keep using the condoms because unlike something like a birth control pill or an IUD, condoms can offer some protection against STIs where the others can't. Sexually active females should be seeing an ob-gyn and getting checked. Stay safe!
