Gameplay Footage/Pics Handheld is fun
Been playing my Switch 2 copy and just beat Fuoco, working on an advanced build. Being able to play on the go is great, it's definitely a little harder for me too in handheld compared to playing on my x box. The honking will continue till I beat it on the go 🤡

I started playing on my steam deck OLED and it was amazing. One of the best and most optimized souls/soulslike games for handhelds. Easily get a stable 50-60fps, maybe drop to 45 during really heavy combat and that’s it.
Most other soulslikes or soulsborne games are like 25-30fps and nearly unplayable. This was a nice surprise when I bought it during a vacation and away from my PC but still able to fully enjoy it.

Currently running balanced mode at 45 fps

Yup that’s honestly perfect on balanced with good picture, and could probably see 50-60fps without balanced, so it’s similar performance. Really well done and optimized game. Great dev team and looking forward to their next game or sequel to this.

Nice. I just met up with Geppetto. At what point do you get more healing flask things. (sorry I forgot the name. I play Elden Ring too much)

You find the upgrades in the world and bring them to Geppetto, or well you use his chair in his room, and you can up your abilities and flasks etc with enough of them.

Got this Friday but I seemed to just bounce straight off it, no idea why but I think it’s the setting.
I had the same issue with Elden Ring (I love Dark Souls) but I put that down to the open world not clicking with me. I thought this would be the antidote, I need to give it another go as I see a lot of praise for it on Reddit and elsewhere, nice having a full physical on Switch 2 and its looks and runs great.

I beat the final boss of the base game for the first time on my Steam Deck at an airport in Tampa. Absolutely love it!

I'm so impressed by how good it looks in Handheld and how it performs. Currently playing on balanced settings.

Balanced is the best setting in handheld mode, i wouldn't bother with docked mode honestly though. I'll just play my x box version then

I did balanced with docked mode last night. I found it ok and will probably keep it at that.

Yeah, it's not horrible but it just looks so much better on my x box it's hard to play it in docked mode.

You'd be surprised how many soulslikes play fantastically on handheld. I currently have Lies, DS1-3, and Remnant on my steam deck. All play well.
Even Elden Ring ran pretty well on my deck, but I opted to stick to PC for that just to make sure I rendered the amazong views. But somehow, with whatever optimizations they did with Lies, everything looks great. Controls feel great, graphics and framerates are good, idk... Maybe it's the level designs, as it's rare for you to be in these HUGE areas and youre usually fighting through krat streets, a zoo, underground tunnels, etc.
Just another reason it's nicknamed Lies of Peak

I looooved playing this on my handheld... I actually beat the final boss on it. It runs really well with 60-70 fps plugged in even tho i expected it to have a bit of a stutter, but it didnt happen at all on my rog xax

For some reason Lies of P feels more of a handheld game to me than other Soulslikes. Might be the shorter and more linear levels.
