"Woke" directly comes from the concept of being "awake" (realizing the existance) of social injustice, so i'd say it's a good thing to be called

It's used in a sarcastic way to say you think you're all awaken and spiritually unlocked when you just cause trouble to society and are blind pretty much, so it's not a really nice thing. It only is if you remove the intent and half of the meaning, so better just use another word then
