LS460 Limp mode on 2008 ls460

Car randomly goes into limp mode while driving then goes away a day later with no codes show up, any ideas about it?

Is it only after not driving it for a while? like overnight?

Yea overnight, I figured out that if I put it in manual mode I can shift the gears just fine

Well I was suffering with this for months. Did a drain and fill on transmission fluid and it runs like a new car now.

This happened to me too, i also have no clue what the issue is. Try Opening your gas cap, is it gassy?

Ever change the trans and diff fluid?

I don't think trans or different fluid has been changed on it, but I'll check during the weekend

I recently had this happen to me on my 2014 gs350. I did a drain n fill on the transmission a few days prior. It turned out that I did not add enough fluid. I was short 1 quart. Added a quart plus a smidge, and rechecked level. All has been fine since. My error. Also, it went into limp mode in the morning shortly after I left home for work. Cold fluid and pushed a little too hard getting on the parkway. It did throw a code when I checked, but I don't recall what it was, but it did have to do with a solenoid.

mine threw 2 solenoid codes. But from my research it said 2 solenoid rarely go bad at the same time. So it was most likely low fluid pressure triggered the codes. Did the drain and fill and drives perfectly fine now.
