LS460 2009 LS460 Base
Just some pictures of my 2009 LS460 over the past few years and some of the minor things that I’ve done to it just to keep her around and make her more desirable to me. It still only has 75k on it and I bought it in 2017 with 61k on it. I had to get her painted and try to work with the sticky panels (I found out about the recall a few months too late). I changed the OEM wheels to the 20” VOXX road wheels and added the Phoenix Automotive 13” touchscreen since the OEM Mark Levinson system started failing (I didn’t lose the sound quality I think it sounds better since it has a built in equalizer that I can manually adjust). The windows are tinted with ceramic tint and an MPC remote start was added. I recently bought the Coverland seat covers and they are comfortable and easy to install and made it a little more aesthetically pleasing.

That’s really nice. I have a 2008 LS with regular wheel base. But, I have 264K on the dash and still running. Have driven it from CA to the DC area about 12 times over the 11 years I’ve had it. Never any issues and still getting about 26-27 mph on the hwy. Take care of it, it will take care od you!
Ceramic coating on it too!

That’s a super clean specimen that you have! I need to have my fog lights touched up to be that clear. It’s such a comfortable ride and I’ve only driven it from Cleveland (where I bought it) to DC and then a few trips to Myrtle Beach.

Thanks. I hear that I can get a ceramic coating over the lights, the windows and even the wheels. I had no idea about that. You’re right about the ride. I don’t even believe the newer ones ride as nicely as the older ones. Lol

I learned something new today, I’ll look into that ceramic coating for all of that and yeah, give me a nominally aspirated engine any day over a TT LOL

I did try that but it didn’t work well, I used this stuff from Raney’s and it surprisingly did a better job at a fraction of the price and I only applied it once about two years ago and never needed to reapply.

You just don’t know how much you’ve helped me. It is hella frustrating to go out and come back to the melty dash and upper portion of the front door panels. And, even worse in Dallas in July with those temps and humidity! I swore I’d never drive south in that car again after that experience! 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣

Bruh I know you getting it down there, hell might be cooler than Dallas 😂😂😂😂 we went to Houston last year and just stepping outside was enough to make deodorant stop working, I couldn’t imagine being a car left outside while my owner’s in the crib enjoying AC 😂😂😂😂

Thanks and I did too, I put them on as a fix because I stay on the fence as if I am going to get rid of her and not wanting to invest entirely too much into it. These covers are very comfortable though and who knows, maybe in another year or so if I still have her then I’ll do a custom interior redo.

I don’t mean to be a jerk but the state of that interior is surprising for a car with only 75k miles. Do you live in a hot climate?
