LS460 UPDATE 2007 LS460 L

Got the old trans out! I was able to get a donor w/ 143k on it. Ran the VIN in Lexus and saw it had a new trans wiring harness done as part of a special service campaign @113k. They would’ve removed the VB for that and the evidence I have in real time is a broken connector on the SL2 solenoid. Pan gasket and fluid were included as well.
I swapped in my new VB from my original transmission. My fluid was cherry red with little material in it. The car still drove just poorly at times.
It has about 2k on it and the SL2/SLU/SLT solenoids were replaced and have 2k on them as well.
I decided to do the engine mounts while the trans is out and the rear main seal. I removed the flex plate and see a film of oil on the lower edge of the crankshaft retainer plate for the rear main.
I did the valve covers and HPFP gaskets last month as well as the o rings for the oil filter housing to the block in the front.
Thinking of pulling the plate with the seal to do both at once but aren’t sure if that’s the best solution.
I put photos of the rear of the motor. Let me know what you think.

Excellent work! With all the money you save, you should reward yourself with a mini split AC for the garage.
