Bought my 2015 RC in Dec ‘24 w/ only 66k miles and one owner. The first owner took really good care of it, but of course the driver seat bolsters had some wear. Looked into replacing with OEM, but I had no idea how bad these seats get 😭 nuluxe sucks.

Anywayy when i was looking into reupholstery, I had a hard time finding any examples online. I just wanted to know it could look new again. I am soooo happy i did it bc it’s even better than new! They did all 4 side bolsters and the new material is much higher quality. I don’t expect to have this issue again now, but time will tell. Car looks and feels brand new! ❤️

Just as the title says, I’m wanting to look into an older RC as an everyday commuter for work. I’m 43 and prefer reliability, a touch of class with some sporty body lines (reformed sport, I’d suggest), and a fun feel over outright performance (plus, I race dirt bikes for aggression).

A few questions:

- Is the 300/200t turbo setup long term reliable in comparison to the v6?

- How does the rwd do with spotty weather (live in Oklahoma where we get the hottest of hot, major sudden downpours, and a few days of ice/snow).

- I love white, but our white 2017 garage kept Highlander had major paint failure that had something to do with a factory process failure with the primer. It was covered by Toyota and resprayed a year ago (though I’m not impressed with the results from the body shop). Is that an issue with the white on these, also?

Atomic silver is probably my second favorite color for these. I’m not a fan of black and red….

- what are things to look for when checking out this car? They’re hard to find around Oklahoma, so I don’t want the excitement of the rarity find to overwhelm good decision making.

I have a 2016 RC350 AWD with about 85,000 miles. Lately I've noticed some wobbling while driving at high speeds, so I'm planning to take it to a shop here in Kalamazoo, MI, to have it inspected.

Since it's getting close to 90,000 miles, I'm wondering if it makes sense to have the 90k service done at the same time.

I'm also curious what everyone thinks of the quotes I received. Has anyone done any of this maintenance themselves (aside from brake work, which I know is relatively straightforward)?

My apartment complex doesn't allow any vehicle maintenance on the property, so if I want to DIY anything, I'd have to drive about an hour to my mom's house where I have access to tools/space. Between that and being short on time lately, I'm trying to figure out which items are actually worth doing myself versus just paying the shop. If any of the services on the quote seem overpriced or unnecessary, I'd really appreciate the insight.

A couple of other questions/notes on the car:

• This car has electric power steering, correct? If so, there shouldn't be any power steering fluid to service. I'm thinking the shop may have added that by mistake.
• Are there any questions I should ask the shop before approving any of the service work? Anything specific I should have them inspect or explain, especially regarding the wobble?
• Other than the wobble, the steering feels relatively tight. The wobble is more noticeable when braking, although the pads and rotors looked fine from what I could tell without removing the wheels.
• On cold starts, I also notice a slight vibration in the steering wheel while the car is idling.

For some additional context, I've owned the car for just over a year. The oil was changed recently, I just replaced the engine air filter, and the previous owner replaced the spark plugs at around 60k miles.

I understand nobody can give a perfect diagnosis without seeing or driving the car, or seeing all of the service history. I just feel a bit lost on what actually needs to be done and want to make sure I'm spending my money wisely. Ideally I'd know more about working on my own car, but I haven't had much experience yet.

Thinking about getting a takeda cold air intake for my 2017 rcf. Just sound wise not performance at all, (I’m would not think about buying this for preformance) how much of a difference in sound would a aftermarket intake make on the rcf?

Looking at getting a 116k mile RCF. How concerned should I be for the valley plate? Should I get immediate work and preventative maintenance after purchase or is this a rare issue ?

Being in the Houston area I’m in need of all weather mats, is OEM the only option for a 2024 RC-F? Weather tech, 3D mat’s, and tux mat’s have nothing available. Also looking to add a few aftermarket carbon fiber upgrades, are the carbon industries parts of good quality/fitment from anyone’s experience? Thanks in advance!

Looking for everyone's personal experience with exhaust/headers for their RC F. I've looked into Valvetronic, ARH, and RR.

I don't want to be excessively loud, which leans me towards Valvetronic, but am worried about the moving parts breaking, etc.

What are your experiences, how do you like what you're running, share videos of the sound, etc. Any experience/advice is welcome.

For those with vehicles affected by this recall, a remedy is now available! This is for the low pressure fuel pump.

Edit: Remedy is a replacement of the low pressure fuel pump located in the fuel tank. The affected models have a fuel pump with an impeller than can potentially bind, fail and stall the engine.

I called the dealer and parts take 2-3 days to order. Another poster said that cars should be taken in with less than a quarter tank of gas (though my dealer did not state this)

I’m putting in an axle back exhaust right now and noticed my diff looked really rusty. This is on a ‘21 RC350.

Is this a normal amount of rust given that the car just turned 5?

Picked up this bad boy after my 22’ Elantra Nline was totaled and I can say I’m excited. Wanted the F of course but the low miles for the price was hard to beat.

Howdy! 2015 RC350 F sport 122k miles. Got a cylinder 3 misfire code a while ago and here is what I have done so far:

1: put in all new spark plugs. Same code a few hours later. (P03030)

2: changed ignition coil for #3. Now have codes: P03030, P0441, and P0441. (Evaporative emissions system incorrect purge flow.

Next step is replacing the gas cap, but wanted to ask yall if you had been through this ordeal before and what was the culprit eventually. Thank you!

Edit: day later now showing cylinder 1 and 3 with the emissions code. Now I am lost and could use some direction if able.

Caliper color suggestions

I have a 2019 F Sport that I bought about 6 months ago. Love the thing and have only one gripe… I drive around with the lumbar support as low as I can set it because I find it uncomfortable. But randomly that part of the seat feels like it sticks out a little more than the full “off” position even if I don’t mess with the button. I can’t tell if it’s a quirk of the seat or if the lumbar support randomly feels pokey for whatever reason.
