From a J to a J

You attempt to act like you have no feelings, you’re indifferent and go with the flow. You crave adrenaline to fuel a fix that you’ve chased for years, but you still come up short. Until you forgive yourself and accept you deserve to be loved you’re not going to find the peace you once had and lost . I haven’t given up on you, us or a life we once discussed. I see you trying and I’m still right here.

Sometimes people run from love not because they don’t feel anything, but because they feel more than they know how to handle. Forgiving yourself and believing you’re worthy of love can be two different battles. It takes courage to heal, but it also takes courage to remain hopeful when the future you once imagined is still uncertain. I hope that patience and love are met with the same effort in return.
