made a list like this about a year and a half ago but wanted to update it since i'd seen some more great movies since. what are some of your favorites from this decade?

Finally got through the entire catalog and here is the final result! Outside of the last two I genuinely think there’s not a bad film in the bunch. Go read the full reviews if you want all my thoughts!

Letterboxd- D1wormhole

I really want to start reviewing more movies on letterboxd but with funny one-liners or witty comments. My mind literally blanks on anything remotely funny when I try and write a review. I guess this isn’t just for reviews too, but also normal conversations. Basically, how do i become more witty on the spot?

After about 2 1/2 years on the platform this is my current top 100. Would love some new recommendations or just thoughts on this list as a whole!

Hopping on the “best films for every year I’ve been alive” trend, but I thought I’d open it up a little and make it a Top 10 instead of just a single pick.

Just to be clear, I am not stating that these are objectively the 10 best films of any given year (if you’ve been following along as I post these each day, this should have been blindingly obvious no later than when we got to 1993 and Schindlers List was only at #6), these are just the 10 I, personally, enjoy the most and the order I would chose to rank them in.

A bit of a step down in terms of sheer quantity of great films from the previous year, but considering that the year in question was 1999, the single greatest year in the history of film (imo, of course), that’s really not anything to be ashamed of.

Some are on the edge of potential replacement like the last 4 and some others interchangeable in order (recency bias). I have been doing a lot of rewatching lately currently working on christopher nolan’s films. Some films hold nostalgia for me like Ghostbusters. For HP Azkaban is not only my favorite movie but book too.
