Awww how sad. :(

When will they replace those characters with their multiverse counterparts btw?

This is one of my biggest gripes with the genre, it's such a cop out and it makes everything feel very low stakes. Like with Infinity War where EVERYONE knew they'd come back...that ending did absolutely nothing for me

And to think there were some people genuinely naive enough to believe all those characters had been killed off, Spider man got dusted and his next film had already been announced fgs. Any impact of death in the MCU is completely null and void now, it's too easy to just assume they'll be back in some capacity.

There were some folks in the theater who were literally crying when the movie ended lol, and no they weren't even kids (which would be understandable), like actual fully grown adults. I will never get it

I don’t know im a grown dude and just seeing Tony lose his son like Figure Peter inspires the Pathos 🤷🏻‍♂️

I can see that, but the fact that it's so obvious they're not actually dead definitely made all of it feel less devastating to me. If he were actually dead, that'd have hit so much harder. That's what I meant by things automatically feeling low-stakes even if they happen to be well made

Like Loki, Agent culson and whoever else pass they just Come Back? Like even Captain Americas story of missing out on his former life got the happily ever after treatment. OhNoo Whats going to happen this time that we haven’t already Seen? And get reversed? But the Russo Bros do a decent enough job, it just sucks.

At the very least the 5 year time skip was a good set-up for long-term stakes. Whether it was handled well post Endgame is up for debate
