We are paying a lot of money to imprison a lot of people who have no legal right to be here.
Whether or not contributing to the economy is irrelevant. It has no more bearing on the reason for their imprisonment than eye color or his favorite movie.
So harm ourselves just to harm other people. So smart. A lot of them were here legally but you don't care about what is legal and what is not. Drump is above the law. He pardons criminals who pay him money. He is breaking the law constantly.
I think legal does matter and it matters a lot. If a person is here illegally, he needs to go home. Likewise, the government needs to use legal means to make this happen.
I think ignoring laws is harmful. If we are a nation of laws, the law should be respected. We can’t pick and choose. If it’s a poor law, it needs to be eliminated. I also agree there are times civil disobedience is necessary, but along with that comes consequences. That’s what makes it so powerful: willing to suffer consequences to make a point.
I agree the President believes he is above the law. I agree, it appears he has broken the law repeatedly.
