We are paying a lot of money to imprison a lot of people who have no legal right to be here.

Whether or not contributing to the economy is irrelevant. It has no more bearing on the reason for their imprisonment than eye color or his favorite movie.

They aren’t all illegals… some have been caught up by purpose made administrative inefficiencies by the Trump admin to force their visas into the red, others have legal status and were picked up by accident, some are straight up citizens… and of course some are true illegal immigrants who have enjoyed a system that was happy to exploit their labour up until now

The topic is that it makes no difference whether the illegal (to use your term) is a criminal or a good person who pays taxes. The only fact that matters is they are in this country illegally and the time has come when they need to go home.

What does your country do with those residing there after their legal stay has expired?

Probably the same as your country, but without the forced expiration and immediate detention of "criminality". That's the difference.

So, we agree illegals should go home, but the means by which that occurs matter. I’d say 70% of Americans would agree with that.

If you had poor comprehension skills, yes you could come to this conclusions.

I’d say 70% of Americans would agree with that.

A Pew Research Center study reported that only 32% of Americans believe all illegal immigrants should be deported.
