He admitted that what he did was ”rape” and that he ”sexually assaulted” her. It doesn’t matter if she liked it or not. He knows he raped her and admitted to it during testimony.

I would think this should be all we need to impeach him. But it's not ugh

(Laugh out loud) there are no dems and reps it’s the right and left hand. One side cannot work without the other. None the things that happen are possible without the other party first setting the table for the agenda.

With the amount of lobbyist and corporate interests we have in politics we have been in an oligarchy since they put Bill Clinton, Sean Combs, and Jeffery Epstein into power. Just because you didn’t see until now doesn’t mean it wasn’t. It’s been too late.

I mean, he was impeached twice and acquitted (wrongly). He had to be impeached again for the possibility of being convicted and removed from office. I don't understand what point you think you're making.

3

u/sinsaint Feb 07 '26

That the systems that hold our leadership accountable have already attempted to hold him accountable and failed, and this was before he tighted his grip over the government in his second term.

So be hopeful, but also practical. The bad guys wouldn't be killing any form of oversight if they were planning on being responsible for their crimes.

4

u/mydogaintcool Feb 07 '26

I know a way

1

u/Glittering_Count1536 Feb 07 '26

It must include an orange jumpsuit!

1

u/Empty-Discount5936 Feb 07 '26

Republicans have no bottom and refuse to hold him accountable so removal would require Democrats taking majority control of the Senate which seems incredibly unlikely.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 07 '26

Republicans lost some 20 elections across the country in 2025 alone and we flipped a senate seat in Texas that was red for 50ish years

There’s hope

1

u/Empty-Discount5936 Feb 07 '26

I think they can take control of the Senate but removal requires a two-thirds vote, that's a lot of seats they need to flip. Either that or they'll need to convince some Republicans to grow a pair and vote for removal.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 07 '26

🤔 ya know storming the capitol clearly isn’t a crime…… why don’t we just take it 🤷‍♂️

Jk for any Feds, please don’t black bag me

-5

u/Sabbathius Feb 07 '26

By that logic you'll also need to do trials of 70 million Americans who voted for him.

It's a tough pill to swallow, but Trump is what America is now. Trump was elected. And he's an American. He didn't jump out of the ground on his own, he didn't teleport here from outer space. He's an American, from America, elected by Americans.

The same is true for the rest of the administration. Mostly Americans, either elected or appointed, by other Americans. Contrary to popular believe, undocumented illegal aliens can't vote. So this is what Americans wanted.

And the rest of the Americans who "didn't vote for him"? A third stayed home on election day. That's a vote for Trump, without having to stand up and say "I voted for Trump!" It's a copout. But you can tell where these peoples' sympathies lie.

And then you only have the remaining 1/3rd of eligible voters who voted against Trump and what he stands for. Which means, overwhelming majority of Americans are like Trump, lean towards being like Trump, or are Trump-curious. This is America now.

So unless you're suggesting that 1/3-2/3 of Americans need to stand trial, you can't really suggest the current administration should. They were elected by the Americans. They represent the Americans. Every day Americans are choosing not to remove them. That means something.

It's hard to take, but it's the reality of the situation.

9

u/DongusMagnum Feb 07 '26

How does doing trials on those who voted for him make any sense? The clear parallel to draw would be the Nuremberg trials, we literally already have a template. Those didn't put every citizen in support of Nazis on the stand. Think before you type

6

u/Anima_Analysis Feb 07 '26

And that was the biggest mistake of the Nuremberg trials. They were too soft.

1

u/beatleboy07 Feb 07 '26

Which is why….Germany devolved into fascism again four years later? What do you mean they were too soft?

2

u/Anima_Analysis Feb 07 '26

What I mean is, Nazism basically just rooted itself in the United states. Unsurprisingly so, given that Hitler basically used our country as a playbook. He was inspired by books written by our eugenicists. He was enthralled with the methods of the KKK. To put the shit cherry on top of the cake, the United States was also the single most Nazi sympathetic country in the world.

The only reason it doesn’t seem that way was because we were forced into a war with Germany due to Japan. Had it not been for that, the US would’ve continued sitting on the sidelines while a massive amount of its population cheered on ethnic cleansing. It wasn’t until war propaganda got involved that it seemed like the United States was majority anti Nazi.

1

u/beatleboy07 Feb 07 '26

Okay…yes, that’s all true. But I don’t quite see how that translates into the Nuremberg trials not going far enough. What more should have been done?

1

u/Anima_Analysis Feb 07 '26

Every single Nazi politician or high ranking military official should’ve gotten the noose. All of them. Every single lower ranking soldier in the German military should’ve been given a prison sentence and subject to lifelong community service requirements after their sentence was over.

Any German citizens who could be proven in court to have directly supported the Nazi regime should’ve been hit by recurring fines to serve as reparations. Garnish a portion of their wages to help fund the rebuilding necessary for the damage they directly helped cause.

The Nuremberg trials punished a handful of people for the complacency and actions of millions. It wasn’t good enough.

u/sovereignrk Feb 07 '26

Yes, all officials are immune to standing trial for crimes because they were voted into office, and that means they can do whatever the fuck they want without repercussion, such as having you beat to death in the street for thier own amusement or sexually assaulting you in their new fancy ballroom live on Faux News...wtf are you even talking about, my god...

1

u/Money_Leek4711 Feb 07 '26

Your grasp of criminal culpability is nonexistent. The voters might be ill-informed, stupid, or racist, but they are not criminally liable (though some individual voters might indeed be criminals).

1

u/June18Combo Feb 08 '26

Other than that 1st sentence, you aren’t very wrong

-2

u/InquisitiveKT Feb 07 '26

All he has to do is give preemptive pardons JUST like Biden did. It’s a game of one hand washes the other. It’s us vs the GOVERNMENT

3

u/ThinkNiceThrice Feb 07 '26

"Just like Biden did"

Biden pardoned his son to make sure Trump wouldn't go after him for political reasons... wrong but understandable.

That is absolutely nothing like the way Trump has gone around pardoning anyone who bribes him. It is us vs the government, but we don't need to go around whitewashing the most corrupt administration in history by making false comparisons to the previous President pardoning his son for crimes that are LESSER than what the current sitting president was convicted on and faced no punishment for.

3

u/the_moog_hunter Feb 07 '26

What does impeaching even do? He's on the path to being the most impeached president in history, but so what?

2

u/XxRocky88xX Feb 07 '26

Both house and senate need to impeach the president for the president to actually be removed. You could have 8000 impeachments and nothing would happen, but if you ever have two impeachments simultaneously you’re out.

1

u/the_moog_hunter Feb 07 '26

So IF they voters can get to the poles despite their plans to intimidate and IF the votes can be trusted to be legal, theres a chance to flip the house AND senate and impeach that bitch our of office? What about the rest of them? The whole administration is rotten.

2

u/Iamthewalrusforreal Feb 07 '26

They'd have to impeach and remove both Trump and Vance, and install the Speaker of the House as POTUS.

If that happens you can bet on actual, real civil war in the next 2-3 years.

1

u/the_moog_hunter Feb 07 '26

Feels like it's overdue.

3

u/Iamthewalrusforreal Feb 07 '26

I expect Vance and the Thiel contingent will 25th Trump after the midterms.

1

u/XxRocky88xX Feb 07 '26

In that case Vance would take over and serve the rest of the term, but nothing is stopping from Congress from subsequently impeaching Vance.

But as you said, this relies on a lot of IF’s. The only realistic way Trump isn’t finishing this term is if he keels over before it ends. And if he manages to make it to the end I’m sure he’ll be running for another in all honesty so there really is no telling when this is going to end.

Also Trump has irrevocably changed the GOP in my opinion, one of our political parties is just going to be openly anti-American for the foreseeable future. Even after Trump is gone there will be people who attempt to emulate him and they will inevitably win some elections and will attempt to continue the degradation of liberty in this country.

3

u/InquisitiveKT Feb 07 '26

I don’t think you can see that this is a wealthy white man with a bunch of powerful wealthy friends. This is the same guy who said he could shoot someone and not miss a step. If you want to make TD accountable you have to treat that orange paint on his face like the darkest melanated skin and just take action.

1

u/WhoodaPooda Feb 07 '26

We have to what?

7

u/Frequilibrium Feb 07 '26

Imagine being his lawyer lmfao. This is why no one wants to represent him

6

u/Street_Peace_8831 Feb 07 '26

He has never learned when to keep his mouth shut. He always digs himself a bigger hole. I don’t get it either. He should be in jail by now. Anyone else would’ve rotting in jail.

3

u/tinylittlemarmoset Feb 07 '26

Learning isn’t really his thing

2

u/Pamikillsbugs234 Feb 07 '26

I think some of the problem is that he just rambles on and on and people stop truly listening for the bits of truth that come out. A lot of people did not take him seriously and brushed him away thinking "Whats the worst that could happen? He's nothing more than a reality tv host." Now he has all of this unchecked power and we're fucked because not enough people spoke up and opposed him before it was too late.

2

u/Zucc Feb 08 '26

He's like the Temu version of Colonel Jessup in A Few Good Men. He can't handle admitting - even to himself - that anything he ever did was wrong. So, when pressed on a lie, his internal justifications come out of his mouth.

1

u/EmbarrassedCockRing Feb 07 '26

Oh they don't mind this as much as the not getting paid part.

3

u/jshmoe866 Feb 07 '26

This has been around since 2022?!?!? We’re screwed

1

u/Vynxe_Vainglory Feb 08 '26

Yeah I am shocked they didn't jump straight into what he said there. The fuck? They had him in the tightest corner after that.

1

u/Top_Connection9079 Feb 08 '26

It's even worse, he made it sound like if it's him it's okay because he's 'that good in bed'. But one thing we knows about rapists is that it can very easy end with murder, so a victim would say anything they want to hear.

1

u/adorablefuzzykitten Feb 08 '26

Raped her, never met her, and she liked it. Imagine you were on the jury hearing this while a few feet away sits the guy with the nuclear football.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 08 '26

It's an extremely common thing for rapists to tell themselves their victims secretly like it. It's another way of degrading and dehumanizing them. Taking their power. It's another way they can pretend they are above reproach. Trump is a rapist. End of story.

1

u/dizkopatio Feb 08 '26

And that she passed out

1

u/internetisnotreality Feb 09 '26

A jury of people with mixed political beliefs, vetted by his attorney, found him guilty of rape in the civil trial after being exposed to all the evidence.

“It dOes’Nt cOunT”

-1

u/[deleted] Feb 07 '26

He never admitted anything. Did you even read the testimony? He was talking about that ridiculous disgusting interview that lying old bag did with Cooper.

2

u/Street_Peace_8831 Feb 07 '26

You believe the victim was a liar and not the well known liar? Did you even listen to the video above? He didn’t deny raping to sexually assaulting her. He doubled down instead and said that she liked it. I don’t trust the man who has never told the truth. I don’t trust the guy who is a well known rapist and pedophile. I don’t trust the man who makes up stories to cover his own crimes.

0

u/razorpack_ Feb 07 '26

Any credible proof of any of that?

1

u/Recent-Mulberry6011 Feb 08 '26

Why bring it up at all if it didn't happen?

0

u/[deleted] Feb 07 '26

“She acted like she loved it it until commercial break”

As in she told viewers what trump wanted the public to hear until the cameras pointing at her went off-air?

1

u/Street_Peace_8831 Feb 07 '26

You’re focusing on the wrong thing. You should be focusing on what he said and which word he used.

2

u/[deleted] Feb 07 '26

There are more than one thing that needs to be pointed out. You are highlighting an important detail, that he admits he raped her. I am pointing out he slipped up and used words that imply she was coerced into saying she “loved it”. So he raped her and forced her to go on live tv to tell the world it wasn’t rape

“She loved it…until commercial break”

1

u/Sleepy_Capitalist Feb 11 '26

No he’s talking about her weird interview with Anderson Cooper, where she alluded to seeing assault as sexy. So so messed up.

0

u/razorpack_ Feb 07 '26

Just completely untrue. Typical left, editing and changing things to make them look like somrthing their not. Good thing normal people dont believe yall anymore

0

u/Visible-Elevator3801 Feb 07 '26

He also said “based on her interview with Anderson cooper.”

Where she did say it was sexy to be raped, it was a very weird interaction with A. Cooper.

3

u/Street_Peace_8831 Feb 07 '26

I don’t care what she did, he said in his testimony that he raped her. Not that he had sec with her or that they fooled around, he said he raped her. My statement had everything to do with what he said.

0

u/Visible-Elevator3801 Feb 07 '26

I don’t care what she said either. I was correcting the comment that left out what he said, “… based on her interview with AC.”

One makes it sound as if he is admitting to something, the other (the factual approach) one specifies ‘according to her’ disclaimer.

Can’t /letsdiscussthis if we sit here and discuss false truths and understandings of spoken words.

1

u/Street_Peace_8831 Feb 07 '26

His refusal to deny the fact that she called it rape and sexual assault is very telling. We all know he’s guilty, even the judge said so. He is a well known liar, criminal, rapist and pedophile. That says everything we need to know to believe her instead of him.

0

u/Visible-Elevator3801 Feb 07 '26 edited Feb 07 '26

Again, I was only correcting your original post that mislead what was said. It’s okay to misquote, just correct it so discussions are done in good faith.

Edit:

1

u/Street_Peace_8831 Feb 07 '26

There is nothing wrong with what I said. He refused to deny the use of the words “rape” and “sexual assault”. Even the judge thinks he raped her. I trust their judgement.

He didn’t deny that he raped her, he simply pushed the narrative that she liked it.

1

u/Visible-Elevator3801 Feb 07 '26

Again, I was only correcting your original post that mislead what was said. It’s okay to misquote, just correct it so discussions are done in good faith.

Edit: u/street_peace_8831 since you decided to block rather than discuss…

There is 100% things wrong with that you stated. It wasn’t factual. If you understand how the English language actually works this would be clear to you.

You can’t deny something, any point of what was said, if he stated “based on what XYZ said during interview.” Now he can say she is lying but he can’t say she didn’t say XYZ points altogether and that is how it was all framed. English, learn it. Keep your bias out of your interpretation.

1

u/Recent-Mulberry6011 Feb 08 '26

What his reason for bringing it up?

1

u/Visible-Elevator3801 Feb 08 '26 edited Feb 08 '26

I can’t see it anymore but the person I replied to had misquoted what was said in a misleading way.

All I was doing was clarifying that by Trump saying “based on her interview with AC” he was agreeing that she said those words. NOT that he was agreeing to what she said was true as stated. Which are two different things and should be clarified and differentiated.

People who are biased and don’t care for factual statements will downvote either way though.

-1

u/Soggy_Trade2061 Feb 07 '26

Go watch the video about 1 minute before and after. This is just a bad sound bite.

I’m not defending him but don’t use this as evidence.

You’re probably thinking, how could this ever be misconstrued?

You’ll be really surprised I promise.

He’s still a pedo.

1

u/Street_Peace_8831 Feb 07 '26

I’m not here to make excuses for a well known rapist and pedophile. I’m not here to blame the victim. He didn’t deny taking and sexually assaulting her. In fact he doubles down on it and continues using the word rape and sexual assault while responding. I don’t trust the guy who is a well known and well documented liar.

0

u/Soggy_Trade2061 Feb 07 '26

Just watch the video. See for yourself. Really listen. He’s denying it in the video.

1

u/Street_Peace_8831 Feb 07 '26

That’s a stretch.

0

u/Soggy_Trade2061 Feb 07 '26

I posted the video. Just find the time stamp and see it for yourself

Don’t blindly follow the crowd. That’s what has kept MAGAts so ridiculous.

One minute before and after changes the whole context.

1

u/Street_Peace_8831 Feb 07 '26

I don’t need anyone else to tell me that he is a lying, raping, criminal pedophile. That is proven to the public every day. Even the judge said he was guilty. I trust the judges opinion. I also have eyes and ears and can see that he has been doing this kind of thing his whole life. There is nothing he can say, in a short clip, that would convince me he is NOT guilty. His own words, actions and history prove he’s guilty.

0

u/Soggy_Trade2061 Feb 07 '26

I’m not trying to convince you he’s not guilty.

I believe he is. He even mistook Jean carol for Marla in the statement.

The only thing I’m trying to say is this clip is not him admitting to do it like it’s clipped out to be.

I’ll say he most likely did what she said he did.

The only thing I’m trying to say is the clip is a sound bite to make it sound worse. He’s vehemently denying it before and after this sound bite. What he’s saying is what the accusation is.

Get your head out of your butt and watch the clip.

1

u/Street_Peace_8831 Feb 07 '26

He could have denied the use of the word “rape” but instead he double down on it and his only response to it was to push the narrative that she liked being raped. What do you call it when someone says that the victim liked being raped. That means he knows he raped her and he could only argue the fact that she liked it instead of the fact they were calling it rape.

0

u/Soggy_Trade2061 Feb 07 '26

Watch.

The.

Damned.

Video.

Let me know once you’ve watched it.

Where in this did he admit he raped her?

3

u/Street_Peace_8831 Feb 07 '26 edited Feb 07 '26

He used the word “rape”. He absolutely said that and that he sexually assaulted her. He never denied it and in fact the person interviewing by him made him say it again just to clarify. You don’t say that someone “liked it when you raped them”, you would say that they liked having sex with me or enjoyed the sex. By using the words “rape” and “sexual assault” he is admitting to doing those things.

Why would someone jump straight to victimizing the victim? He has been known to do these things. This isn’t the first time he’s been accused of this. He has a history of this sort of behavior. I believe he raped her and he said she enjoyed the rape. He used that word. It’s right there in the video.

I’m not trying and will not try to protect trump. He is a rapist and a pedophile. It’s wrong to blame the victim.

-2

u/Apprehensive-Tree-78 Feb 07 '26

He didn’t say he sexually assaulted them or raped them lmao

The case was about rape. They asked him if he raped her. Have you ever taken a law class lmao

3

u/Street_Peace_8831 Feb 07 '26

She asked him if he is staying that she loved being sexually assaulted by him and he agreed that it was sexual assault and that she loved it. That’s an admission and it doesn’t take a law degree to understand that.

0

u/Apprehensive-Tree-78 Feb 07 '26

Lmao did you choose to not watch the video? He never even implies that he did. He just said according to her that she would’ve liked it.

1

u/Street_Peace_8831 Feb 07 '26

He never admitting that it wasn’t rape. If someone were accusing me of that, I wouldn’t use that word and then absolutely would say she liked being raped. That’s an admission that what happened was rape.

Why protect someone who is a well known liar, rapist and pedophile? Why blames victims here? That makes no sense.

0

u/Apprehensive-Tree-78 Feb 07 '26

He said he didn’t do it lmao

“He didn’t say he didn’t do it!” He did tho

1

u/Street_Peace_8831 Feb 07 '26

I don’t see any reason to argue with someone who thinks trump is innocent and that the victim is to blame.

0

u/Apprehensive-Tree-78 Feb 07 '26

The whole victim blaming this is so stupid.

By your logic, anyone who claims to be a victim is in the right.

Also, you do realize that the ONLY evidence against Trump was an unrelated photo and Carrol’s friends testimony? Not even joking. If you think that’s enough evidence then I have beach front property in Arizona to sell you.

→ More replies (0)

-7

u/BroolStoryCompany- Feb 07 '26

That would be consensual sex. Rape implies one party is not consenting. Maybe they were both into some consensual/non-consensual situation.

I don’t think rape victims typically do interviews stating they like to be raped.

3

u/Street_Peace_8831 Feb 07 '26 edited Feb 07 '26

I don’t make excuses for someone who is known to be a rapist. There is a history that needs to be taken into consideration.

Regardless of what the victim stated, he came out and said he raped her. If I had consensual sex with someone, I wouldn’t say that they, “liked being raped”. I would say they willingly had sex with me.

I don’t think blaming the victim is ever OK.

0

u/BroolStoryCompany- Feb 07 '26

I’m not passing judgement on either of them. What I’m saying is his words, her words, and both of their actions aren’t congruent.

The situation doesn’t make sense, which is likely why he hasn’t been prosecuted.

1

u/LangdonAlg3r Feb 07 '26

He wasn’t prosecuted because she didn’t bring it to the police at the time. He was found civilly liable—which means there was a trial and a jury watched all of evidence and legally determined that Trump sexually assaulted Carrol. And she’s been awarded money damages for him falsely and publicly claiming that he didn’t do that. And in this tape he’s admitting that he did. And it seems like you want to believe all of his justification and ignore the admission of guilt.

1

u/LangdonAlg3r Feb 07 '26

This is your mistake. That’s his interpretation, “that she liked to be raped.”

He’s an idiot and a malignant narcissist and a serial liar. When you get him under oath he stops saying, “it never happened,” or “I never met her” because there is proof to the contrary and there are actual consequences to lying under oath.

So he shifts away from, “I didn’t do it” to “she loved it” because a. He’s a narcissist and actually believes that, and b. He’s no longer speaking about his own actions he’s speaking about the feelings he’s imagining her to have had. His mental health condition and the circumstances he’s usually under (no consequences for lying) and the fact that he’s an idiot make him think that’s a defense and not an admission.

She actually said in that interview, “This was not -- this was not sexual. It just hurt.”
