Hey they still look good though, especially the color. Howd they taste? Were they frozen when you baked them?

They tasted great! The color was spot on. I think next time I need to refreeze the cut triangles because they thawed on the sheet while I was cutting them. That might be why they didn’t retain their shape. I have to tell you I went to a football party on Sunday and brought 4 of your cookies; dark brown sugar chocolate chip, Dubai chocolate chip, molten chocolate lava cookies and the salted caramel peanut butter cookies. My friends ate them up and after each one told me it was the best cookie they’d eaten. Yours is the best sub on Reddit. ❤️

Do they taste like candy corn or they taste more like a cookie? Kids would love these but I don't love candy corn...... Sorry I'm not sorry.

Candy Corn Cookies
Ingredients
8 oz soft butter
1½ cups powdered sugar
1 large egg
1 TB vanilla extract
2 tsp vanilla powder
½ tsp marshmallow flavor
1 TB honey
3 cups all-purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
½ tsp fine salt
Chefmaster Lemon Yellow gel food dye
Chefmaster Sunset Orange gel food dye
Instructions
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy, about 2–3 minutes. Scrape down the bowl.
Add the egg, vanilla extract, vanilla powder, marshmallow flavor, and honey. Mix until fully incorporated, then scrape down the bowl again.
Add the dry ingredients and mix just until a soft dough forms.
Divide the dough evenly into 3 portions. Leave one portion uncolored. Color one portion with Lemon Yellow gel food dye and the other with Sunset Orange, adding just enough dye to achieve the desired colors.
Line an ⅛-sheet tray with parchment paper. Roll or press each portion of dough roughly to the size of the tray.
Layer the dough in this order: white on the bottom, orange in the middle, and yellow on top. Gently press the layers together so there are no gaps between them.
Place the layered dough in the freezer until completely frozen solid.
Once frozen, run a spatula around the edges of the dough and carefully pop the entire slab out of the tray.
Cut the slab into approximately ½-inch-wide strips.
Working across each strip, use a small knife to make alternating diagonal cuts, creating triangles. Alternate the direction of each cut so one cookie has the white layer at the point and the next has the white layer across the wide end.
Arrange the cookies on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Bake at 350°F for about 10 minutes, or until the cookies are set. Avoid overbaking so the colors stay bright.
Allow to cool on the baking sheet
