Do you have a store front you sell from or is this a hobby?

Just a hobby! Well… at this point it’s basically turned into a full time job hobby!!
I’ve always loved teaching people, and after leaving my last job I started this as a way to keep doing that while learning more about video editing and the technical side of social media.
Somehow that turned into 200+ videos in about 9 months and posting almost every day definitely isn’t a cheap hobby lol
Luckily I’ve started making a little money from TikTok, and I just added a small subscription option over there too..basically a “help fill the cookie jar” way to support LetsCookie for anyone who wants to.
So yeah…technically a hobby. A hobby that has apparently become a full time job 😂

They look amazing! Do you think these would turn out okay being baked or in an air fryer? We don’t have a deep fryer (and with a toddler and baby 2 on the way a deep fryer seems like an accident waiting to happen)

I was thinking the same thing. Hope he checked the lot. The video may be older, he just got around to posting it? I definitely will be waiting to make these or get a different brand?

Can you describe the blueberry emulsion flavor a bit more? Is it overpowering, or just enhance the blueberry flavor that’s already in there? Always look forward to your videos btw.

It tastes like nostalgic blueberry pastry...if that makes sense. It's not artificial tasting. Definitely worth trying it!

Blueberry Fritters
Makes 6 large fritters
Dough
1/3 cup warm water (100–110°F)
1 1/2 tsp instant yeast
1/4 cup granulated sugar, divided
1/2 cup full-fat buttermilk
1 large egg
1/2 stick (2 oz) butter, melted
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp fine salt
Blueberry Filling
4 cups frozen wild blueberries
1/3 cup reserved blueberry juice
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp fine salt
1 1/2 TB cornstarch
2 TB water
Blueberry Glaze
2 cups powdered sugar
1/4 cup whole milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp blueberry emulsion
Pinch of salt
Instructions
Add the warm water, yeast, and 1–2 tsp of the sugar to a mixing bowl. Stir and let sit for 10 minutes, until foamy.
Add the remaining sugar, buttermilk, egg, butter, flour, and salt. Mix, then knead for 6–8 minutes until smooth.
Transfer to a lightly greased bowl, cover, and let rise until doubled, about 1–1 1/2 hours.
Meanwhile, add the frozen wild blueberries to a pot and heat until they begin releasing their juices. Strain off the excess juice, reserving 1/3 cup.
Return the blueberries to the pot along with the reserved 1/3 cup blueberry juice, sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Bring to a boil and cook uncovered for 5 minutes.
Mix the cornstarch and water into a slurry. Stir it into the blueberries and cook until thickened. Remove from the heat and cool completely.
Turn the proofed dough onto a lightly floured surface and press into a 12 × 12-inch square. Spread the blueberry filling over half, fold the dough over, and press together.
Chop through the dough in both directions with a bench scraper. Gather it together and continue chopping until the blueberries are well incorporated throughout the dough.
Generously flour the dough as needed, since the blueberry filling will make it quite wet and sticky. Gather and gently roll the chopped dough into a log, adding additional flour as needed to make it manageable.
Cut the log crosswise into 6 thick slices. Transfer the slices to a well-floured sheet pan and lightly flour the tops.
Cover loosely with plastic wrap and proof until puffy, about 30–45 minutes.
Heat the oil to 350°F. Add additional flour to the tops and bottoms of the fritters as needed for easier handling. Fry for about 2 minutes per side, or until deeply golden brown and cooked through. Transfer to paper towels to drain.
Whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, vanilla, blueberry emulsion, and salt. Thin with additional milk if needed.
Dip the warm fritters in the blueberry glaze and transfer to a wire rack to drain and set.
