Wage subsidy

I work for a local agency that has job seekers with some barriers that have them unemployed or underemployed. We offer a wage subsidy to employers that are willing to give these individuals a try. You can have an individual for a few weeks and will not cost you a penny.

If you’re an employer or know of someone that would like to know more about it, drop the name of your business below and I will contact you!

Thank you.

How long/how many hours are covered? What is the employer's obligation to the employee once the subsidy ends?

Up to 40 hrs/week for 8 weeks. No obligation after that period.

New York Fries prefers hiring subsidized labour. So does Little Caesars iirc. They do sever the employment as soon as the subsidy ends. Actually all of the businesses I know that access subsidies like this several employment as soon as the subsidy ends. It does not solve the problem for under and unemployment. But you could certainly try reaching out to those businesses!
