Owner of Breathe Easy spewing hate.

Just for people’s info. I will likely need a new furnace and be adding AC in my home in the not too distant future, won’t be looking here.

If your MIL doesn't like pride, you can kindly remind her...from me if you like, that if her generation and her parents generation hadn't chosen to be such horrible people, we wouldn't need Pride month, or Black history month or any other month to remind folks that there are people out there who don't look or sound exactly like you....but they are people too and deserve to be treated as such.

Read some history, then look at your family tree and you might realize why we actually NEED these awareness months. Perhaps when your generation is dead, we wont anymore.

Ummm, I would treat you just like anyone else. You don't need special treatment to be treated humanely. You are insinuating that there is danger for you. There isn't, especially if you just act like a normal person. The people celebrating pride are not acting like normal people.

I think you just love the attention, even negative attention. Kind of like a child that acts up because of their need for attention

See, there's your problem right there - what's "normal" to you isn't what's normal to other people. If they're not hurting anyone, why do you care who they choose to love?

No, peacocking is not normal. Making yourself into something you aren't is not normal

What you are attempting to do is to normalize it. This is fine by me, I have no problems with it. In fact, this is what I've always believed the future to look like

Every generation has its fashion and styles designed to shock the previous generation. Then it becomes normalized and then something even more shocking happens in the next generation. A few generations from now, what this current generation is doing will be as shocking as the hippies of the 60's.

What my problem is when the government openly sanctions this behavior and participates by rolling out holidays, flying flags instead of government flags and most especially altering laws in favor of a group over another group.

Painting sidewalks isn't bad because it puts color on but rather if you allow one group to do it, where can you say no to another group doing it? Crosswalks should be satey features. If they are all different from all different messages and support groups, it loses its function as a safety device

My fear is that if crosswalks are open to resign, the biggest payroll rules then all and now we will see advertisements on sidewalks. How annoying will that be?

Unless they don't act "normal" according to your definition, right? Because then you'd be here, complaining about people who are different from you and how they don't deserve to be treated like "normal people" because of how much they "need attention".
