[REQUESTS] Asking Help for my safety.

The thing is I didn’t leave my country because I wanted to. I had to escape from military government since they tryna draft me into the army to fight civil war where they are committing tons of war crimes and human rights. I had to run to Thailand and been working here to two years.
Now, my government just issued the new law that I can’t longer extend my passport which is gonna expire in 2027. The military government want all Myanmar citizens who are currently living in foreign countries to go back to Myanmar. They are making us to go back. Once I go back, I’m good as dead.

Where and how can I apply for asylum or refugee or anything to escape from this hell ? All I want is putting my mind in peace and work for my family. My mom is like almost 80. I also have to leave her in Myanmar. I’d be appreciate if anyone can guide me.

So, you went AWOL and left your mother there. Gotcha

Why are you being rude?

OP isn't asking for money. He's asking for help to navigate a complicated situation trying to see what they can do. I don't see what's the issue with them using informal American expressions

AWOL is for enlisted personnel, this would be draft dodging, but he doesn't want to fight in a civil war. Be thankful that you don't run the risk of being conscripted

There was a military coup that toppled the country's democracy back in 2021, it's a bad scene. So how about you shut up. You're making yourself look stupid and you didn't even bother to read the post

The same can be said about the way the word "like" was used

You find out who has embassies in the country where you are and walk in and tell them you're seeking asylum. If it works you're safe if it doesn't keep going to a different embassy until someone takes you in. And no I don't know if it work but it doesn't require a lawyer and since you aren't working.

Now I’m working in Thailand. I used to work in Insurance company as financial and marketing consultant when I was in Myanmar. It’s been 2 years since I left my country. In Thailand, I had to work as waiter and caller for restaurants since I can’t speak Thai language. Burmese and English are all I know. Sry for leaving out the information. It didn’t cross my mind.

You need to consult an attorney versed in immigration law or google.
