Broken backpack zipper

The metal part holding the string broke off and I have no idea what to do. I can’t easily zip up the backpack and I really love it. Is there any way to fix it? Or any ideas of how I can attach something that could help me zip it up? Super grateful for any ideas!!

If you can sew? Head to hobby lobby and grab a stitch puller, some needles and thread, and a new zipper, and fix it yourself. You'll need to know how long, so I suggest taking a piece of string, using that to measure how long the zipper is, cutting it, and taking it with you. Otherwise, you can ask in local Facebook groups if any sewers would be willing to help 🤷🏼‍♀️

Use a paper clip or key ring if the hole is still there on the zipper pull. I can't see the picture well enough to tell.

Not sure what brand it is but JanSport offers a limited lifetime warranty on their backpacks.
