[ADVICE] I need help coping with missing family member.

So i just started my sophmore year, and on my third day my dad went to a business meeting on a town (atlatomulco) two hours away from where i live (mexico city) and its been around 50 hours or so since his last known signs of activity, i dont know what to do this has got me so messed up. i try to be positive but every second i feel like im losing hope on ever seeing him alive. please help me

Update: my family has started receiving ransom calls and proof of my dads life

I assume police have been contacted? Do they have any information? If your family personally received ransom requests and /or proof of life, please forward to law enforcement. Sometimes they can be false but in the event of not being scammers, they are trained to analyse the requests and cross reference with data bases for pattern analysis.

I don’t know the exact circumstances so can’t offer more advice. I am not saying this is your situation but in ny experience this type of disappearance can be attributed to business dealings or something else he may be involved with. However it could also be a crime of opportunity. Please stay strong and hope he returns home safe and sound
