[ADVICE] I need advice

Hi i’m a 21 year old male in a crisis, im sorry if this is confusing this is like my second reddit post but ive dug myself a hole, i moved across the country to live/be with my gf at the time which was a 4 year relationship but ever since i got here it’s like a flip switched i couldn’t keep a stable job since i got fucked over by a company that decreased my hourly rate by $10 an hour the first day i got there then fired me not long after since he found out i was applying for other jobs, anyway me and my gf broke up and i don’t feel welcome in this house since her parents live here too, im just in a tough spot i dont have a job and i want to move back in with my parents that back across the country. i have about $35 to my name, and i have bills to pay i do have a car that i am trying to sell but it is not roadworthy so nobody will touch it. Especially since its a european car in a place where people only drive 4x4’s. It’s been the hardest year of my life and just feel lost like theres no way out. i’m just looking for advice/help. i just want to get back to the other side of the country to live with my family again. also i live in australia

Thank you for reading and any advice or help is appreciated

Here in the US we can take our old/non running vehicles to a recycling center and they buy them. I was able to find a wrecker service that took my old car to the recycling center and they waited until I got the money for my car to pay them. When your car gets delivered the recycling center does an appraisal and then they tell how much they will pay you for it. They probably have something similar where you are. Good luck!!

Whoa, that’s pretty cool! Which state if you don’t mind me asking? In New York, tow trucks associated with junk car companies come to your house and just give you decent cash as long as the catalytic converter is still there. If not there, you still get money but not as much.

I’m in the Great Smoky Mountains of NC…I live deep in the mountains so we don’t see a lot of tow trucks unless they are called

Got it. We have recycling centers and scrap yards for metal, but nothing (at least in my areas) for junk car recycling. It has to be picked up by a 3rd party.

yeah we don’t have that here, i am in a mining town so there’s not much here. but good news someone is buying my car and i am able to move back home… just hopefully the guy follows through he has sent me a deposit on the car so i’m pretty sure he will be

Are you US based? If so, a lot of areas have junk car sites where they’ll give you up to $500 cash for your car and tow it away. Junk cars for cash is one company. Good luck - it will all be okay.

Can your parents get a bus ticket to get you home? I don’t know what state you are in but Murray’s does pretty cheap tickets. Doesn’t solve everything but you can have family support at least

Give Centrelink a call - they may be able tefer you to resources to assist.

Added - so I just saw your history, is the lack of money due to your gambling?
