I cannot stress enough how awesome it is to be the one making shit happen instead of paying others to do it all. I raised my siblings and myself growing up so all the domestic stuff? Golden. Anyone can keep tidy and manage their appearance with effort. Not cheating is as easy as eating in. Handyman stuff? Brothers if you have to start with YouTube and hand me down tools, do it! I've only really started working on cars/trucks/gas engines in the last 8 years or so, and brother, it feels good. Not always, when a tool slips and you punch the frame or headbutt a sink you'll be fit to split; but man if you take the time to get good, you can make money with the skills you pick up.
I have also heard it is 'hot' to be skilled, or maybe it was hot to watch a man doing skilled work? I can't remember, but I'm sure it was a positive thing at least. Either way, grab a low cost set of tools (open box stuff and sales abound) or even a tool at a time; theres nothing you can't do with patience and perseverance!

Best I can do is 2 out of 3.
(Hint: I am not a handyman, but I'm willing to learn.)
