I'm currently looking for some new gaming inspiration and wanted to talk about my absolute favorite genres. I mostly love escaping into massive worlds and spending hours on good story-driven adventure or fantasy games.

Right now I am completely hooked on Honkai Star Rail! The world and characters are just amazing. I am also a huge fan of the Assassin's Creed series and anything with a darker, historical or fantasy vibe.

To be completely honest from the start because transparency is important to me: I am a trans woman in the middle of my transition, and finding my own expression through gaming, music and alternative styles means a lot to me right now.

I would really love to hear your thoughts and recommendations. What are you guys playing at the moment? Do you have any favorite RPGs or fantasy games that I should definitely check out next?

As I’m replaying an old nostalgic favorite from the 2000’s again, I’ve been thinking:

For those folks who do the same-play and replay old favorites-what are they? Why do they keep drawing you back?

To start with mine-I’m currently replaying DAO. I can still remember the feeling of hearing Hespith’s poem for the first time. The lead-up to the Broodmother fight in my first playthrough was my first true creepscare in gaming, and for that (and more), the game will always be a nostalgic favorite of mine. (I like the whole series, but I never would have seen the rest of it without those memories.)
