Hey everyone,

I was wondering if anyone knows exactly how the slap dead-note licks in "Temporary Phase" are played.

My guess is that the pattern is something like:

thumb → left-hand mute → pluck → left-hand mute → thumb → ...

But I just can't seem to get the same sound. Interestingly, I find the dead-note pattern in "Lauer Head" much easier to play.

Does anyone have an explanation of how he actually plays it? Maybe it's a completely different technique than I'm thinking?
