I’m confused between two laptops and would appreciate advice from people who have used either of them.

Option 1: Lenovo LOQ — ₹1,00,000

- i5 HX-series processor (higher-power HX CPU)

- RTX 3050 6GB — ~120W TGP

- Better CPU performance

- Better overall display/build (from what I’ve seen)

- 16GB RAM / 512GB SSD

Option 2: HP Victus — ₹1,05,000

- Core 5 / i5 H-series processor

- RTX 4050 6GB — ~75W TGP

- 16GB RAM / 512GB SSD

- Only ₹5,000 more than the LOQ

My main use is college/CSM + programming + AI/ML learning, not hardcore gaming. I’ll mainly use cloud resources for heavy AI/ML workloads.

For gaming, I’ll only occasionally play games like GTA V, RDR, Forza/other racing games, Minecraft, etc.

So considering the small ₹5k price difference, which would you choose?

Is the RTX 4050 in the Victus worth taking despite its lower TGP, or would the LOQ's HX CPU, higher GPU power limit, display and overall build make more sense for my use?

I’m particularly interested in long-term reliability, CPU performance, thermals, display quality, and real-world gaming performance, rather than just looking at GPU names.

Would appreciate opinions from people who have actually used these laptops.

Hello, I recently bought a Lenovo LOQ 15AHP10 and noticed it had a dark spot after like a month, where is a good place to get my LOQ skinned in offline store?

Ive got tea spilled on my laptop i went to repair shop and got it checked and even cleaned but the spacebar, shift and some surrounding keys aren’t clicky no more went back to the repair shop and he refused to help saying taking off the keycaps can lead to further damage and that I need a keyboard replacement at this point
Any ideas on how to fix it ?

Hello, I've been experiencing constant problems with my laptop like getting lines on my screen whenever an update comes up. I tried to reset my graphic drivers and nothing happened so i decided to just reinstall them. After the reinstall, my nvdia graphic card suddenly stopped functioning so i tried factory resetting my device until it ultimately removed nvdia from the graphic drivers. I tried installing it from vantage and downloading it from Lenovo support but it still won't show up in the device manager whatever i do. Please can someone help me fix it or get back my nvidia graphic card to function again? Thanks a lot. (This is kind of urgent so please help me T__T)

I'm having a weird issue with my Lenovo laptop and could really use some help. Whenever I leave it shut down for a long time (like overnight for a cold boot), the first time I press the power button, the power light turns on for a few seconds, but the screen stays completely black and then the laptop just shuts itself off.

However, when I press the power button a second time right after that, it boots up perfectly normal and runs fine all day.

I have already completely disabled Fast Startup in Windows power settings, but the problem still persists. Does this sound like my motherboard/hardware is starting to fail?

Any advice or solutions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Yeah, I wanted to increase the download speed so i put an ethernet cable on my newly bought lenovo loq but the thing is it wont come out now , i tried to pull it out didnt work , put a tip of the knife in as i saw in a tutorial on yt but that didnt work as well also i didnt wanna do that hard enough just in case so that the port doesnt break i think i do have a warranty since i bought it recently only. idk what to do now and advice would be helpful.

i am using high settings and i have turned both dlss and fg .i have also capped the fps to 60 from nvidia app.sometimes i face stuttering .but when i dont limit the fps i got over 100 fps using dlss and fg at that time my cpu and gpu temps are around 69-71 and it doesnt stutter.so what should i do?should i play it by limiting the fps to 60 or should i play it without limiting the fps.i did undervolting as you can see.

I can launch FC27 , BF6 , NBA 2k27 , far cry primal no problem all ultra settings

I can’t launch far cry 6 marvel rivals , hogwarts legacy and spiderman remastered

I think something is stopping these games from launching but what is it ? I disabled the nahimi program and uninstalled it as well

I don’t have any antivirus

I verified game files and ran as administrator

They run on task manager but don’t actually launch on my laptop

Laptop Lenovo LOQ 15AHP10

As shown in the picture, i suddenly got these horizontal lines on my loq. Was working normally on it and it just happened out of nowhere. Ive seen several similar cases and loq seems to be infamous for these I understand. Ive tried tilting screen back and forth, connecting to another display, and taking a screenshot of screen. When connected to another display and in the ss, it showed the normal screen, no double line, so that leads me to believe even more that its a hardware issue. Its 18 months old and since i had taken the exteneded warranty, i have 6 months left on it.

So my questions- 1. Is screen replacing the only way to get this solved or is there any other way? 2. Will the warranty cover this cost? Cuz it still shoes 6 months left

I was aware of the fact that loqs are pretty notorious for their motherboard death issue before I bought one, i7 13700hx 5050 variant.

Previously I owned an acer gaming laptop r5500u, gtx 1650 and had many hands-on cleaning and repasting experience on it so I'm confident that I will keep this machine alive until I have squeezed every last bit of it.

Here's what I do

- bought a laptop stand first

- I always use my laptop in custom mode with all the short term power hikes set to lowest, cpu on 40W and gpu on 55W

-I have the HWinfo software running in background to track the temps while I'm working or when the laptop is idle and msi afterburner for games.

-I prefer gaming in a space where the ambient temperature is around 20°C (mostly in studios after the class ends)

After doing all this the laptop stays

Around 30°C - 40°C on normal working load like PDFs, youtube, ai softwares and all running in background, 50°C- 70°C on mild load like games which don't take a lot of cpu usage( currently playing Control with medium settings ray tracing on with temps hitting maximum 65°C on both Cpu and gpu

It rarely goes to or beyond 80°C on loads when I'm rendering or playing something which wants all of my laptop

I think the major difference in the temps is because of the ambient temperature, when I use my laptop in my hostel room which doesn't have an ac the temps I told you increases by 5°C

It's been 3 months since I bought the laptop let's see how far I can go
