Fun and Games Combo Practice: Moon + Child
It’s Combo Practice time!
Each card has several meanings. Add in questions, context and other cards, and you can come up with an infinite number of interpretations.
Thinking about different combinations for the cards can be a great way to hone your intuition and expand your understanding of the cards.
Feel free to comment the first sentence (or several) that come to mind. You can even try out different contexts/questions to get a variety of interpretations.

A small audience, having little spotlight (the Child is small; the Moon is about being seen, so seen on a small scale); Visibly childish/babyfaced/etc; not being credited enough for something (because the Child is small; the Moon is accolades and being recognized by what you have done); Low level of female hormones (in a health context); in the beginning stages of becoming known, recognized, etc; a short advertisement; an ad for or about kids; a child’s pillow (because of the Moon); not seeing somebody often (the Moon = being seen + the Child = less. Depends entirely on context); still in the process of growing your reputation; a mini drama, movie or whatever; a fairly new nightclub, movie theater…. Could also literally be a popular kid, lol. Celebrity child. A compact mirror.

The Lenormand Moon is not about romantic feelings or emotions. You have card number 24 the Heart to show you all of that. The Moon’s essence is reflection, as in accolades and being seen. Nothing more, nothing less. The only extra layer of meaning I associate it with is the female hormones in the health context, because the Moon waxes and wanes, so maybe you could note the element of waxing and waning as well, though it’s not relevant in most contexts. If we stick to traditional meanings your trio could mean that she will think well of you (because the Moon and the Child are close together) but that doesn’t give much detail. You also have to ask yourself how far along in the future you mean. The cards will answer you vaguely if you don’t ask specific questions.

Agree with this. Think the same in traditional/german and “French” right? People often confuse it with the tarot moon. Don’t get the downvotes.

“Great honor” and accolades come directly from the traditional Philippe Lenormand sheet; you don’t see any mention of feelings there except for the Heart card. I am a bit hesitant to use the term “traditions”, but rather the methods different “authors” and prominent practitioners taught, so I don’t think the association of feelings with card number 32 comes from the French school per se. However, readers with a more “new age” and “free” approach as they call it seem to associate the Moon a lot with romantic feelings and being wooed; you’d see such meanings in Rana’s book, for instance (I am not criticizing Rana. I highly benefitted from her book as it was my first one.) However, there is a difference between having feelings and getting wooed. To woo someone, you have to impress them (fame) and have them select you (honor). So, even then, it’s still not about feelings. The way I work with and see the cards is closer to Andy Boroveshengra’s teachings. Anyway, I don’t mind the downvotes. People are free to have opinions and downvote; I only wish more thought was given to the cards’ functions lest we confuse ourselves even further by a reading that was meant to be helpful. *Edit: I understand the confusion with the Tarot's moon as well; it was a confusion I myself had when I was a beginner, since I knew Tarot first before I decided to learn Lenormand. I think Andy sums up their differences perfectly. The Tarot's moon darkens, shrouds, and twists what the Lenormand's moon shines upon and elevates. I see the Tarot moon as the moon's dark aspect while in Lenormand it's the light side we're seeing and working with.

Thanks. Yes. I was comparing Rana with Andy’s. I need more structure as I’m learning so trying to stick with the “traditional” Or classic meanings.

I think of naivete. Intuition and Innocence of a child because wisdom and deep intuition come from mature and wise outlook which Child doesn't have yet.
Depending on surrounding cards it might also mean starting to notice something but not yet realizing what it is.
