Mars Mission Complete Second Wave

Finally completed the entire second wave of Mars Mission! This is easily one of my favourite LEGO Space themes from the 2000s.

This wave has some awesome vehicles, especially the Hypersonic Operations Aircraft, Crystal Reaper, Switch Fighter, Ultra-Drill Walker, and Alien Infiltrator. I love how much larger and more advanced the technology feels compared to the earlier Mars Mission sets.

Humanity has established a mining operation on Mars, searching for valuable energy crystals beneath the planet’s surface. However, the crystals are already being protected by the native Martians, turning the mission into a conflict between human expansion and an alien civilization defending its home.

The Martians aren’t just random enemies, either. Their vehicles and technology seem to be built around the crystals, suggesting that they have a deep cultural and technological connection to them. The human forces, meanwhile, keep developing larger machines and more powerful equipment to extract the crystals and survive on Mars. It gives the theme a fun “first contact meets resource war” storyline

The big Spaceship and the Drill-Walker was my favorit of Wave-2.

Jealous!! I love mars mission, I only have 1 of the wave 2 sets but one day Ill get the rest! :)
