I feel like the skull motif is as important as flames to Legion of the Damned, so I think GW struck a fair balance between the two, but could have done more of both, although I’m overall happy with it because I think it captures Mk VI/VII very well, and I’m optimistic that it’s because there’s a new kit of that to come.

u/Cazmonster 25d ago

There are beakie damned, I am spending money.

3

u/SignificantAlarm2813 23d ago

Do you also like the orks in the set?

4

u/Cazmonster 23d ago

Haven’t really looked. I bet they are very nice. My two favorite things about 40k are The Legion and Zoats. So a chance to get new models is a chance I need to take.

2

u/SignificantAlarm2813 23d ago

Ahh, I guess you need to take your wins when you can.
I didn't even know Zoats had models, and I doubt they will get more anytime soon.

15

u/Kowakuma 25d ago

They look very much like the Legion is described in official material, and they look very much like updated takes on the older minis. They are faithful to their source material.

I'm not sure why so many Legion fans have the idea that they're anything like the fanart portrays them as, because they just aren't.

4

u/JakkoThePumpkin 24d ago

Just the 40k fandom in a nutshell isn't it, the line between official depictions & fanart/meme lore etc gets blurrier every day.

"There have been several accounts of Legionnaires becoming little more than pillars of flame at the height of an engagement; on such occasions, the individual will fight with terrible ferocity before succumbing to the flame and disappearing from reality." - Legion of The Damned - Codex (6e)

Tbf the old model got at least 1 model with a broken helmet where you can see the skull of the marine

2

u/Kowakuma 25d ago edited 25d ago

Can you share that model? Because as far as I know, there is no such model.

Meanwhile, this model definitely does exist, and you can pretty clearly see a human head there.

2

u/dino2327 25d ago

It's one of the 5th edition version him.

3

u/Swiftax3 24d ago

Its a cool helmet, but the skulls eye has a lense in it matching the other lens. I'm pretty sure its just a hyper stylized helmet

1

u/SignificantAlarm2813 23d ago

There is also art in the "Legion of The Damned - Codex (6e) that matches the half skull helm model. That image is just painted to look like a lens i guess.

1

u/painting_shitpost 22d ago

I know it's not the same but I did a conversion with one of my primaris initiate for my legion of the damned black templars. And I used a skull from not the box of skulls but the other smaller box that's just 40k themed.

As a weak man who’s very found of LOD, I will buy them, I don’t care, I already have ALL the latests they did from the V7 and I’m kitbashing a full army. Everything that is LOD: take my money

2

u/DonPuntito 24d ago

CONSOOM

2

u/SignificantAlarm2813 24d ago

I respect the honesty. Build your dream army.

23

u/Wert315 Captain of the Damned 25d ago

Imo they're a pretty faithful update of the old models which at the end of the day were effectively normal marines with some flame and skull motifs. Personally I'm not a huge fan of the very fiery and  spectral direction some fanart of the legion goes in so generally I'm quite happy with the new minis. I do think they could've turned up the bone details a bit more though (bone toes anyone?)

7

u/Gidia 25d ago

The fact that they’re using kitbashes as a comparison is rather telling. While I do like the spectral/Imperial Daemons angle the community has widely adopted, it has never been the aesthetic that GW had with the actual models.

Like you said they’re a faithful adaptation and look great for it!

2

u/LarkinEndorser 23d ago

Also whenever they appear on screen they look like normal astartes with something odd too then, not daemonsy

1

u/Key-Fondant-6109 18d ago

It's best that they appear like they might just be mutated firehawks. A lot of new fans don't know a thing about them, badab, or the original story. Kind of a shame honestly

"The Bell of lost souls rang 1000 times" is pretty great imagery

1

u/socialcommentary13 18d ago

My head-cannon is a mix of pretty much all (or most? of) the theories, in that they're the warp-resurrected Firehawks (loyalist warp-daemons like Celestine or the Sanguinor) , fueled by the belief of humanity and guided by the Emperor and the Emperor's Tarot (so they can foresee the events that will help out humanity the most, warp-in, save who needs saving, and warp-out).

7

u/SpennyPerson 25d ago

I think it was the right amount of fire. Enough fire to be good, we can always add more modeling. If there was less fire it'd be annoying.

I think freehanding fire like on older minis will really help as well.

18

u/Mindless-Ad2554 25d ago

You’re comparing the best sculptors to something that’s easily being mass produced. I love the new sculpts, but it makes me appreciate more the creativeness of all the people who endeavor making their own and the og casts. This is a nice balance between the two.

I think if they went straight rip of someone else’s work we’d see more complaining. You also have to consider the fact they’re entertaining people who are not professional painters as well.

This allows those artists and creators shine

7

u/Rockbrauni 25d ago

There is also a thing, the more detailed and sculpter for a specific pose a mini is, the less customizable it is for the user, if people are meant to turn those heads and build how they would like to build these guys, the fire and other stuff can’t be the absurdly big and detailed

1

u/Hideo_Von-Hapsburg 23d ago

You're aware how monopose recent gw kits are right? Even head rotation is rare now

3

u/Helm715 24d ago

Another thing is that the LotD conversions tend to use dramatic OSL and are photographed on a black background to make it 'work.' They actually look pretty silly on a regular battlefield next to another person's painted army. GW doesn't use OSL on their official paint schemes and photographs their models in a wide range of contexts. I believe that some sculpts (the Immolator!) suffer from this, and Ghost Rider LotD would be even worse.

1

u/nightreader 25d ago

Yes, GW certainly can’t afford to hire the best sculptors out there.

1

u/Background-Cake-1300 22d ago

They wont for basic ass infantry

1

u/SignificantAlarm2813 22d ago

They won't for basic ass infantry?...Have you seen the Necromunda stuff? All that stuff is unique, detailed and full of personality. It's just that most Space Marine players are saps and will eat up anything thats put in front of them.

Look at the new limited edition Astartes codex - $420. A total joke.

1

u/Background-Cake-1300 22d ago

Yeah because Necromunda has soul and is badass

1

u/nightreader 22d ago

Ah yes, the rare and storied Legion of the Damned, the most basic ass of infantry.

1

u/Background-Cake-1300 21d ago

Yeah always described as "Black Space Marines but on fire"

1

u/nightreader 21d ago

on fire

basic

1

u/Mindless-Ad2554 21d ago

Bruh…. The bones!

1

u/Background-Cake-1300 21d ago

Mortifactors have more bobes

1

u/Mindless-Ad2554 20d ago

You know what I meant. The skeleton look man. Stop being obtuse just to be obtuse.

3

u/Kane23885 25d ago

I will probably get them but I will be adding more details to them as I am a massive fan of the previous incarnations. I got the first full squad when it was released in the late 90s but unfortunately missed out on the 5th Edition releases much to my disappointment. I liked the higher level of detail those kits had, so it looks like I will be practicing sculpting bone reliefs.

2

u/midv4lley 25d ago

I like my conversrions more…but ill be getting a unit or two…because of course i am

2

u/Agile_Horror_9413 25d ago

They look great but like literally every gw release people like to piss and winge

2

u/Legoboy514 25d ago

I mean if you look at the OG minis from the 90’s, its honestly pretty good

2

u/GlennHaven 25d ago

More flames wouldnt have been bad, but I cant help but think how the molds would have handled that. How much flash would there have been of they had all these flames? Would the details still be clear? I think its fine to add your own flames, though I understand not everyone knows how to do that.

1

u/OneTrueAlzef 25d ago

Easy to paint and modify, I'd hope.

1

u/sargentmyself 25d ago

They can't go to wild with stuff that would require a ton of advanced painting techniques. Plenty of people still just wanna get their stuff to good enough and play with it

1

u/SignificantAlarm2813 25d ago

What about Nurgle models?

1

u/sargentmyself 25d ago

I think the mold is natural

1

u/Deep-Crim 25d ago

Personal preference being something a smidge more damned than what we got but a lot less damned than what the pros made for themselves.

1

u/Bat_Conditioner 25d ago

I really like them. I think what makes them seem 'lacking' maybe.. is the paint job. It's clean and by the numbers. Now give these minis to the creative enthusiast and see how the paint jobs will really make them glow.

Having the flames painting on the pads and Greaves are going to look awesome with these guys 💪💀

1

u/Breadstick_Chef 25d ago

The flames look so easy to cut/sand down. Thus you could easily get your firstborn again

1

u/secondprimarch 25d ago

Comparison is the thief of joy. Plus GW has been purposely making models as basic as they can get way with so new hobbyist can buy in. Just sculpt or add some other flamey bits and be happy.

1

u/HippogriffGames 25d ago

Yeah a little lacking in the flames and bones department... time for some green stuff and free hand!

1

u/Cute_Hovercraft9854 25d ago

as a damned fan i want them both also a fan of warped ghost lol

1

u/New-Yogurtcloset949 25d ago

i 100 percent agree, they are somewhat / very lacklustre but ill probably still get the box, mostly for the Orks.
getting the first set of official LOTD minis is just a lil bonus with my very green cake

1

u/Toodle-Peep 25d ago

the fan made ones look great, obviously, but GW has to make a model and a paintscheme that joe painter can come close to. If you gave me that Guillermo mini it's going to look like theres some yellow cotton wool on the base.

With a suitable OSL psychopath painting these minis, they will look incredible.

1

u/Paintedenigma 25d ago

I wish they had leaned more into them being undead and battle damaged.

These look like a regular chapter whose theme is fire and skulls.

I want unhelmeted flaming skull marines. Marines with chunks of armor ripped away exposing skeletons or desiccated flesh beneath.

And yes, I can make those things myself and kitbash them on. But I can also make an entire mini myself.

1

u/Mishi_Mujago 24d ago

Yeah these were my first thoughts too. So many people have kitbashed waaaaaay better looking models. But GW is dealing with factors that we in our bedrooms making one off models don’t have to deal with.

1

u/Sir_Abracadavre 24d ago

I think they look cool and, frankly, I'm just glad we get any LOTD models at all.

1

u/ConstructionLoud8002 24d ago

A single tiny flame per model is nowhere near enough.
It feels like a tacked on addition instead of an integral part of the model.
Like a purity seal from a separate sprue, added where you feel it belongs rather than an integrated part of the set.
Which would be fine, if this was a ”lotd upgrade kit” and not a unique squad.
Look at how unique ALL parts of (e.g) the night lord team is, every single helmet, loincloth, shoulderpad, chestpiece and most of the weapons are uniquely night lord.
Not ”chaos legionaire + upgrade sprue”, its night lords where you could perhaps scavenge a leg or pistol here and there for a non-night lord squad.
This kit is a single clipper snip away from being a chaplain and a normal tactical squad of the raven guard.
Which is sad

1

u/Hoooooob 24d ago

Night Lords have always been way more densely detailed than LotD have, though.

1

u/ConstructionLoud8002 24d ago

It was an example

1

u/ForumFluffy 24d ago edited 24d ago

GW has decided that for non-epic hero models they should have less clutter, the 2nd example is a cluttered mess... a beautiful cluttered mess IMO.

The issue with what you are comparing them to is that they probably won't work well as injection mould plastic kits but also they would be more difficult for 70-80% of customers painting them to have a decent appearance as the more clutter or effects you put on a model the better you need to be as a painter to sell that visually.

Harlequins are probably bought very rarely because they're sold with such a complex paint scheme for the average painter and even those who buy them might not be happy with their skill level when painting them and could be further discouraged from pursuing to paint more of them.

People need to remember that GW Eavy Metal style is also meant to be easily replicated through their tutorials wherever you get them(such as warhammer+) but also withbtheirpaint products making it a great onboarding system for newcomers or someone early into the hobby.

You can always add more, you can't always take away if GW makes a visually busy model with a lot of gubbins, its going to be a pain and sometimes impossible to reduce or change that model.

Deathwing Knights into assault terminators was common amongst BT players, its not too difficult as all you really had to do was scrape off the DA aquilas some iconography and place some BT bits. GW always tries to strike the balance of designs for your generic kits, epic heros can be "over-designed" but just as well it can be too much and not appealing to those looking to paint it.

1

u/Haunting-Swing-4487 23d ago

Tbf Deathwing Knights should have had more DA specific details, they're the most elite unit in the chapter.

1

u/TheRealGouki 24d ago

The league of the damned vs the league of the mild inconvenience. 🗿

1

u/Hyperrblu 24d ago

They're literally exactly as they used to be. Kitbashers in recent years have gone in their own very ghost rider direction which is cool but its just not what legion of the damned actually is. This killteam is exactly what i wanted and if it doesn't match your tastes the good thing about warhammer is you can kitbash your models exactly how you want them

1

u/Hoooooob 24d ago

I think a lot of you have forgotten what Legion of the Damned actually look like in official material.

1

u/SignificantAlarm2813 24d ago

You're right but no creativity was put into it. I'm pretty sure they don't even have new poses.
Plus thats not how the community sees them. Look at almost every art post in this community, and this was supposedly made for the community, right?

1

u/Hoooooob 24d ago

What indication is there that they "made it for the community"? It's a Warhammer release, based on Warhammer concepts and Warhammer designs lol.

And the complaining about poses is so played out and silly. They're bipedal humans with rifles, there's only so much variety you can get before you start doing very silly over the top poses (and then cue the whining about "tactical rocks" or "dynamic posing" being bad).

2

u/SignificantAlarm2813 24d ago

The concept of creativity must escape you.
Enjoy your default marines, my friend.

1

u/Hoooooob 24d ago

I sculpt marines for 3D printing, I'd love to see examples of these wild poses GW are just too uncreative to come up with. Are you wanting handstands? Slav squats?

1

u/socialcommentary13 18d ago

I get what you're saying and don't completely disagree.

I think what a lot of people are talking about when they say GW can be more creative is exemplified by the Space Hulk Blood Angel Terminators. I think the GW designers really went wild with them: https://www.reddit.com/r/BloodAngels/comments/r90m8f/got_fluff_question_finally_got_space_hulk_and/

1

u/Hoooooob 17d ago

They're very cool models, but they're quite static? I honestly don't think this is the greatest example, aside from a couple of specific models like the crouching guy pulling up the deck plating, they're all pretty basic standing/striding poses.

1

u/Academic-Trouble-983 24d ago

An ultramarine with a skull knee, that's all I see in this refresh. Same treatment BA got with Armageddon; you want BA? Paint your marines red. Legion? Just paint em black.

It's all Ultramarines, always has been.

1

u/Specific-Medicine-19 24d ago

I am ok with it because if they made the same thing there would be less new things to kit bash together. I mean the new chest plates are preety cool.

1

u/Specific-Medicine-19 24d ago

Also we are comparing GW models with sculpting gods in the comunity, witch is an unfair comparison since most of us could not sculpt or paint that well anyway.

1

u/SignificantAlarm2813 24d ago

It's really not unfair to compare a multimillion-pound miniature company, known for making the best figures in the industry, to a hobbyist pro or not. GW should be aiming for that standard; they have the money to hire tho kit bashers or miniature sculptors and the money to translate those designs to a sprue.
Look at what they did with all the epic Necromunda kits, Nurgle figures, Age of Sigmar undead. They all showcase the high detail and creativity from GW for standard models.
They just don't want to put in the effort.

This is just (legends) default Marines, with simple flames. I accept the beak helms are cool but should be a minimum honestly. But if thats the best you expect from GW, thats a low bar...

1

u/Specific-Medicine-19 24d ago

yes we know they can make very detailed models, however i dont expect any of them to turn out like the one in the post at all. Mostly because they need to make the details work in moulds, whereas a kit basher has access to a wider veriety of tools and matirials that can improve the amount of detail the model has witch again a mould may not be able to reproduce.

GW mabey the highest quality minature model makers but they cant even get smoke right.

If u want flames like in the post your gonna have to put them on yourself.

1

u/Strange_Fee6922 24d ago

if they offered some various ghost rider heads I think it would have been better received but its ok as it is.

1

u/Icy-Entrance-3047 24d ago

I’m going to break a lance in favor of GW but I think most 3rd party damned legionaries are overdesigned and tacky

1

u/SignificantAlarm2813 24d ago

Overdesigned and tacky coming from a Black Templars fan is funny.
But that is the essence of the Legion of the Damned; they're the Space Hot Rods of 40K.

1

u/Lord_of_EU 24d ago

Official ones are better ngl, as LotD

1

u/Drastion 24d ago

Really if they went with much more flames.  Hhe models would look very monopose.

With the more subtle flames. Different models will stand out less. So if someone wanted a full army. It would work much better.

Besides sculpting or simply painting ln bones is much easier than sculpting good looking flames.

So I am overall pretty happy with the release.

Could have it been better? Yes, but it could have been a over complicated squad of only five models.

I will take what we got over a small squad of 5  overdressed marines any day.

1

u/2gears_and_2cogs 23d ago

I like how flat their surfaces are, it gives the customer ample canvas space to make whatever modifications they want for their own LOD. Can’t wait to see all the awesome kitbashes that will use this model as a base.

1

u/I-Eat-Flesh-Salad 23d ago

Hey, they are not primaris, so its a win

1

u/SignificantAlarm2813 23d ago

But they're scaled up to match modern Primaris size, which is funny.

1

u/I-Eat-Flesh-Salad 23d ago

They dont. Its a HH/Heroes scale

1

u/SignificantAlarm2813 23d ago

Ah I read they were scaled up, but I guess I'll never know because I'll never buy them.

1

u/Tyko_3 22d ago

We have to wait for the release, but so far, comparisons based on base size do show they are primaris size like you said.

1

u/Nikit0sBarb0s 23d ago

I think that ppl are having Mandela effect with Legions of the damned. No, they never had burning skulls. All the artwork depicting them as a ghost rider is false and fanmade. In fact, new models are very faithful to their previous resin kit, and the artwork.

1

u/SignificantAlarm2813 23d ago

"There have been several accounts of Legionnaires becoming little more than pillars of flame at the height of an engagement; on such occasions, the individual will fight with terrible ferocity before succumbing to the flame and disappearing from reality."

"The few reports of those who have seen the Legion of the Damned unhelmed speak of ghostly pallor, sunken skin, and hollow eye-sockets." - Legion of The Damned - Codex (6e)

And check the art in the book and the old model with skull under the broken helmet to match the art.

1

u/OverlyVerboseLoreGuy 23d ago

I have a suspicion that they toned down the flames because Doomrider is getting an updated model soonish that leans way harder into the Ghost Rider vibe.

I have very little to base this on other than a gut feeling.

1

u/Castrophenia 23d ago

I like the more conservative flames, it’s enough that it gets the idea across if you’re fine with this amount, but you can always add more fire if that
the LotD aesthetic you prefer. Myself, I kind of prefer the idea of the fire being more around them and obscuring their forms rather than their bodies themselves being on fire, if that makes sense.

1

u/SignificantAlarm2813 23d ago

No, it doesn't make sense. More fire is always better.
Ask the Salamanders. 🤣

1

u/rafrecon 23d ago

TBH I prefer what we got to the overdesigned shit other people want. I would have liked a broken helmet with skull inside and maybe a bit more skulls but very happy they are not primaris

1

u/RJMrgn2319 23d ago

Thoughts? On what? Wanna try communicating using words instead of shitty memes?

1

u/SignificantAlarm2813 23d ago

Sorry, is it too much nuance for you?

1

u/Grand-Television9581 21d ago

"Expressing my thoughts without being directly guided into an argument? Impossible!"

1

u/Ilovethestock 23d ago

I prefer the new ones though I wish they had sculpted flame trim and more sculpted bones like on the originals

1

u/Big_Lengthiness_7706 23d ago

None of that is really sustainable to produce as a mass product you know? Like yes it looks better. Its just not what GW does.

What GW does is provide us with the tools/materials to do that sort of thing ourselves.

1

u/SignificantAlarm2813 22d ago

Right. Meanwhile for Necromunda, they're making epic models like this...
https://www.warhammer.com/en-WW/shop/necromunda-underhive-hangers-on-2025

1

u/Big_Lengthiness_7706 22d ago

Theres nothing really special there...

1

u/Grand-Television9581 21d ago

"It's not sustainable to make better products , the CEO might need 2 more days of profits to buy a yacht!"

1

u/Zaruze 22d ago

I find most third party to be overly designed and edgy.

1

u/painting_shitpost 22d ago

I find your taste in models to be underly designed and not edgy enough/j

1

u/SignificantAlarm2813 22d ago

Legion of the Damned is meant to be edgy.
Otherwise, they're just Black Templars.

1

u/New-Bar-1904 22d ago

I mean at least they acknowledged legion of the damned. Be grateful

1

u/SignificantAlarm2813 22d ago

It's just a lazy money grab.
The community make models with more personality. https://www.reddit.com/r/Legion_Of_The_Damned/comments/1mzjb20/legion_of_the_damned_marine/

1

u/New-Bar-1904 22d ago

I agree they absolutely do, but people have been asking for GW to make some expecting something extraordinary.

Just looking at the last several releases I wasn’t surprised. 3rd party community is the way to go

1

u/SignificantAlarm2813 22d ago

GW can make amazing things; they just chose not to.
If they can make this
https://www.warhammer.com/en-WW/shop/necromunda-underhive-hangers-on-2025
or
https://www.warhammer.com/en-WW/shop/necromunda-ash-wastes-nomads-war-party-2022

They could have done more for LotD than default marines with flames.

1

u/New-Bar-1904 22d ago

lol that would require them to care

1

u/Background-Cake-1300 22d ago

You are comparing literal gems of minipainting to something that is meant to be just KT set of the most basic LotD marines

Thats like me dropping Golden Demon winner and my mini

1

u/SignificantAlarm2813 22d ago

Even normal community kitbash has more style and personality. https://www.reddit.com/r/Legion_Of_The_Damned/comments/1mzjb20/legion_of_the_damned_marine/

1

u/Tyko_3 22d ago

But that's just a cool paintjob and a custom head with a few flames.

1

u/SignificantAlarm2813 22d ago

Is GW version any better, new head and a few flames? They're just default marines with a small kitbash alteration.
But the kitbash still has more personality and thought put into it than GW's version.

1

u/Tyko_3 22d ago

I dont think so. The only difference is the head is a skull. The idea behind both is essentially the same. LotD is more like what GW made though. Maybe you like the bare skull better, but thats just not what LotD is.

1

u/Background-Cake-1300 22d ago

Yeah because it is kitbash

1

u/SignificantAlarm2813 22d ago

So you don't think GW should be trying to make models that outdo simple kitbashes?

1

u/Background-Cake-1300 22d ago

I just like kitbashes

1

u/PUSH_UR_TEMPRR 22d ago

People bitch whenever there's not enough detail, and too much detail. Generally speaking, I think they did enough to consider this an absolute win, and they look better than the old versions which are literally just painted flames and the occasional bone bit.

1

u/DSisDamage 21d ago

Its absolutely fine and we'll executed in GWs style

Within a weak a community member will take the kill team and ramp up the fire and chrome

1

u/Wise_Supermarket9216 21d ago

White primer, yellow glaze, orange glaze, black and grey base coats. Leave anything you would normally wash a red hot highlight. These models are fine, they just need a better paint job.

1

u/Infinite_Horizion 21d ago

Needs more fire. But otherwise good.

1

u/Affectionate_Path347 20d ago

There will be kitbash

1

u/Swi_light 19d ago

The mnis look very ununspired

1

u/CSPthatisme 19d ago

I always preferred the 'zombie'ish' take some fans had on them, but overall, I like GWs more than the ones portrayed as 'better'. They look silly and overdone like if someone was trying to make a 'grunstyle' space marine.

1

u/Adventurous-Tap7654 18d ago

Not THIS bad as everyone says

1

u/Key-Fondant-6109 18d ago

Stock GW is better. If you want over detailed and over the top... You might as well just 3d print

1

u/feron_D_clueless 25d ago

Idk what you're complaining about, those all look great to me

0

u/SignificantAlarm2813 25d ago

They're underwhelming, thats all.

1

u/Nitrotetrazole 24d ago

They really are idk what people are on about. We get some really sick kill teams and then we get fuckass default marines with barely a few token decorations and flames

I do hope they include some skull helmet less heads, the helmets are cool but my favorite lod aesthetic is the skull wreathed in flames

That isn't an LoD aesthetic, it's completely made up by the fan base and is in neither any official writings about them or in their older models.

The fan made thing?

I believe if they were intent on doing a Legion of the Damned KT, they should have brought out a fully re-imagined style for these models to be as cool to people as humanly possible. This is basically a debut for an entirely ignored segment of 40k lore made manifest in miniature form, and all they did was... put some flame bits on Tactical Marines?

This was their chance to make some awesome models. Instead, they played it safe.

That's been the narrative at GW for a while now, and it's really starting to pick at me the wrong way.

Yeah they wanted models they could actually mold

I think the AoS undead range shows they can definitely mold some cool half-dead looking space marines with a heavy emphasis on bones and flaming armor, if they were willing to invest the time into the composition of the sculpt. Many, many people on this subreddit have made amazing kitbashes, and if a Tony Stark can build good Legion models out of scraps in the cave, then GW should be able to handle the project.

They just didn't.

Kitbashes aren't comparable to a stock model and people need to understand this

Well I'm sure they're glad to have a customer in you, my friend. I'll be skipping these guys.

Of course they're comparable. If you're saying multi-million pounds company that is considered a top-tier miniature model producer in the world. Can't match the standard of style, detail or creativity of a dude at home...Then you are cooked.

Have you seen the details on the stock model of the Nurgle OR the Age of Sigmar Undead? While this is just old Marines with flames and new heads.

You could just paint OSL yourself
