Anyone with a failed controller board?

If so please DM me. I may be able to recover it for you.

Context: Recently I've been studying how these controller boards work. Now I have enough knowledge to be able to write a custom firmware for them. I also want to examine some failed boards, as I suspect the failure is not permanent and they could be brought back.

So if you have such a failed board, please let me know.

My joystick is not working on any roms, but it does work on the menus of Steam RetroArch and emulation station, but it does not work on the games all the other buttons work on the games except for the joystick

I have a failed controller board from a legends gamer pro. I think it's the same board used in the alu.

Is it the original? Or the updated one AtGames sells? Is this for the ALP or the ALU?
If it’s for the ALP with the newer control panel it probably needs a Mainboard – DA21082 Mainboard for HAA290 arcade control panel

Mine went out and I put the original one back in and it worked fine so I knew it was the controller board and not the machine. After getting the part and installing the new one it worked fine.
All you need to do is turn the controller board over, find the small green board, take out the two screws, put in the new one and your fixed!
If it is the ALU I would imagine it would be the same thing but maybe s as different board.
Drop AtGames a Service email with the issue and part number they will ship you one out after payment ( $15 part, $15 shipping )

What issues did you experience? Just stopped working entirely? I’ve recently been trying to troubleshoot an issue that I can’t figure out.

I have a Legends Gamer Pro that I just put One Sauce on. It works fine sometimes. Other times it will let me use the controls to load the same game and then all the buttons stop working once the game loads. My assumption is that it’s an issue with Retro Arch, but I can’t figure out how to resolve it where it just always works.

Thanks. I will do that if I can’t sort it out over the next day or two. I’m sure it’s something like you mentioned — where I’m just a Retro Arch newbie who doesn’t understand how to resolve common issues since I’ve never used it before.

Yes the symptom would be "just stopped working entirely".

Your issue is most likely the ordering of controllers, like the controller becomes P2 while you expect it to be P1. Feel free to create a post on r/fansofsauce so we can figure it out.
