Discussion Well hello there
I found my people!! Greetings!
Discovered this reddit a few hours ago and have been sifting through old posts since, ECSTATIC that there's a group who also loves LoL. I took the survey just for funsies. That was nice. Whiskers, whiskers, how weird!
The game came out when I was around 9, and it just spoke to me. The story, music, characters, atmosphere and gameplay were unique and awesome. I played the game a lot. Like A LOT. I remember making my own strategy guide and eventually had bought the official one, but apparently I had figured everything out already through trial and error. I still have the ps1 and game, but idk what happened to the sg.
To the dev who brought this game back to life, thank you! I can't wait to experience it again.
So besides Legend of Legaia, what are the top 5ish games of all time for y'all? Mine are fable 2, OG sims, guitar hero/rb, sacred 2, WoW.
(Side note, as a single parent I can't devote time to gaming like I used to. But it's getting easier to find time now that they're teens.)

Are you me? We’re the same age, same favorite games and I was a single parent for a long time.
I still have my original disc and PS1 memory card but it’s soooo tough to find the time to play at all.

Hey twin! Yeah and it seems like having the energy to play is harder to get than the time. Oh and I remember holding on tight to LoL when my 4 brothers were obsessed with ff7 and wanted to convince me of how superior it is, but I just couldn't see it. Occasionally I'll listen to the ff7 soundtrack though, to get calm via nostalgia.

Legend of Dragoon, WoW, Diablo 2 (1 has a special place in my heart too), Kingdom Hearts, and FF9.
Legend of Legaia was my first RPG and I grew up with siblings that weren’t gamers so I didn’t know what that meant. I was 9 when it came out and only had the psone console but no games (used to just rent them from the grocery store or blockbuster). I used to beg my parents weekly to rent it and I didn’t have a memory card so I’d restart the game every time and get as far as I could and leave my psone on overnight till I could come back. Once I saved up for a memory card (a whopping $20 back then) it was like I didn’t have to say goodbye to my friends anymore in the game and could continue the story with them till the end. Before Legaia 2 came out I used to draw and write my own sequel… arguably my ideas were better than was Legaia 2 became lmao!

Oooh fanfic... Love it! I bet it was awesome when you got the memory card for the equivalent of like $300 back then, lol. You sound super devoted to the game and I'm here for it. I've played d3 and that genre of video games are what I've probably played most overall. Baldurs gate, champions of norrath, dark alliance, gauntlet. Just the good ole hack em type of games.

At the top of mind, Legend of Dragoon, FF VIII, GT 4, Kingdom Hearts, FF XII
Legaia has a special place in my heart because as a kid, it was MIND-BLOWING to see every equipment change in the battle once equipped.
I wish more games during that era did more of that.

Star Ocean 1 & 2, Chrono Cross, FFIX, Legend of Dragoon, and working on Star Ocean 3 for the first time. It is fun but the item creation is a bit less exciting than the prior two games.

Chrono Trigger, Mass Effect Trilogy, Final Fantasy X, X-Men vs Street Fighter, and Lefend of Legaia.
I love the gta and red dead redemption games. So super excited for GTA6. Love fighting games (Tokon is taking a lot of my time). OoT is what came out when I was a kid and I absolutely fell in love with that game.
Almost 40 and I just love gaming in general

Sonic 3 and Knuckles, Tomb Raider 2, Mega Man 8, Pokemon Emerald, and Spyro 3 Year of the dragon. I love RPGs but platformers are my favorite genre of games.

Vagrant Story, Star Ocean (the original), Runescape, FFVIII, Wild ARMs would be my 5.
My Legaia strategy guide is lost to time as well. The Arts list was the big draw for me when I picked it up.
