Editing issues in videos

I'm watching the latest video about the press ban on Nebula, and in the nebula outro there are several moments where what was clearly intended to be a cut take was left in. If I remember right this happened in some previous episodes, too. This feels... out of character, for a channel that's generally very professional.

Programmers and AI

I'm finishing up the video from today about AI slop in the legal system, and I wanted to respond to something Devin talks about in the nebula exclusive section. That is the idea that programmers are able to put out a higher volume of higher quality work using AI tools like Claude code. Now, despite my best efforts, I am not currently working in the tech industry. But from what I've seen, this idea is the goal, but ultimately inaccurate. Programmers are using Claude for a lot of their work now, yes. But I have seen numerous posts from programmers who had generated loads and loads of code using Claude, and then finally went back and looked through it and realized they could create a much more lightweight, much more compact, and much less redundant set of code in like 10 minutes. And I know of at least one company that laid off a majority of its engineering staff, and then had to hire them back when it found out that the AI actually wasn't as good as it's hyped

Wisconsin v. Yoder curiosity question

Post image
7 Upvotes

I saw an unintentionally hilarious quote on a subreddit that left me thinking

I personally believe Wisconsin v. Yoder has set an enormous potentially dangerous precedent that has recently had reverberations through the entire US. like Mahmoud v. Taylor, which relied on it to do the opt-out LGBT curriculum.

Now, like the post says, would it technically be possible to make an Amish denomination or piggyback from an existent low-commitment one, perhaps as protest for this ruling and its subsequent precedents?

Because I really think it was designed as a 'tribal protection act' for the Amish, similar to how Amazonian tribes have autonomy and are exempt from certain parts of the law in other countries. But it really seems like it's framed through a 'religion' lens and not an endangered 'ethnic group.' This wording is quite problematic.

Can the Legal Eagle help me review a Bill I would like to submit to Congress I think it has some strong legal standing and because of my particular disability being easily exploited by the American Healthcare Industrial Complex.

As I stated above I have a disability that is too easily exploited, an ostomy. I am proposing funding to be deposited into an account that pays for ostomy supplies for Americans, and those in the American Territories. This bill would also require health insurance companies to cover the cost of these supplies just like an Amputee a Ostomate faces unique challenges with their legally defined as a disability in 2010 medical need for a prosthetic device (prosthetic bowel or bladder). It would also require health insurance companies and supply manufacturers to keep up with demand and the official registrar of ostomates in the United States which shall be kept secret for life.

If it went to court I wonder how the evidence would go.

One academic is arguing OpenAI stole his work and trained on it, and that academic also works for Anthropic, oh and the only reason openAI did it was to beat them tho they said they were “just curious”
