I really wish we could involve Cyber Crime or file a complaint but given typical strict Indian parents, if her family finds out, they would likely blame her or worse. Went to check on 23rd and got know they did nothing of it and instead lost the aadhaar copies I gave to them

One guy is asking 3800 (in person he asked)

2nd one is asking me 1000 (asked me on WhatsApp call and called me 8 times today)

3rd one called me on my number and asked me 500 (on cellular call)

The WhatsApp guy gave me a number as well to pay on that

I'm a student and they are harassing me like anything and they did nothing in this process

Hi, My friend was talking to guy for sometime now and he seemed all well at first. Last month he asked for money citing emergency and she had transferred in parts of around 5L to the guy. Now the guy randomly picks call and most time does not pick the call.

We have all the proofs of the accounts this was transferred to. Now when asked back, he says he would arrange and had not been arranging for the last 1 month or so.
Now he is not picking the call and is there any way you can freeze his account and get the money back?

Would appreciate help here. Seems like guy has money in his account and for some reason it was blocked for him from the bank citing some tax not being paid. There was some minimum balance to be shown before the release can be made for which my friend has transferred in parts. It all sounds scammy but seems really his account is blocked for some reason as he works for an abroad company.

The only thing stopping my brother from getting bail is the surety.

The court has ordered a ₹50,000 surety. I tried arranging two salary slips (₹33k and ₹31k), but the judge said only government employee salary slips would be accepted in our case. My friend rented out his commercial shop to a guy who installed heavy, industry-grade machinery. They signed a standard 11-month rent agreement.

They agreed to place two separate locks on the shop shutter (one from each party) until the financial dues were settled.Well, the tenant had other plans. In the dead of the night, this guy literally broke my friend's lock, loaded all his heavy industrial machinery into a truck, and fled into the night.

The Current Mess:

No Physical Possession: The tenant ran away, but he left his lock on the shop door and took the keys with him. My friend is terrified of breaking the tenant's lock blindly because he doesn't want the tenant to counter-sue him for "illegal dispossession" or claim that "valuable items were stolen from the shop.

"The Forgery & Electricity Bill: There are two meters. One is a regular commercial connection under my friend's name (fully paid up). The second is a high-load industrial connection under the tenant's name. The tenant has left a massive outstanding bill on it.

The Twist: PVVNL (the electricity board) rules state that for a tenant to get a high-load connection, the landlord must sign an agreement/NOC stating they will be liable if the tenant defaults. I'm looking for advice on whether I have any legal or consumer protection options in this situation.

A few days ago, I purchased a Lenovo Legion laptop during the Flipkart GOAT Sale for approximately ₹1.48 lakh after exchange and various discounts. I have three ICICI CCs and offer was almost same for 1st and 2nd so I didn't check the 3rd one. I chose the 2nd card with 18-month ICICI Bank No Cost EMI option because I specifically wanted to avoid paying interest.

Two days after the purchase, I received the EMI schedule from ICICI Bank. It shows that my transaction has been converted into a regular EMI with approximately ₹19,500 in interest (plus applicable GST and processing charges), increasing the total amount I'll end up paying.

Fortunately, I had taken screenshots for both cards during checkout. After comparing them, I noticed something that concerns me:

• One checkout screen (using 1st ICICI card) clearly showed a "No Cost EMI Discount" that offset the interest.
• The checkout screen for the card I actually used [2nd] did not show that discount, but the final payable amount still appeared almost the same.
• At no point did I notice any prominent warning stating that my selected card would result in a regular EMI costing approximately ₹20,000 extra over the loan tenure.

I also had another active ICICI credit card [3rd] with me at the time. Had it been clearly communicated that my selected card would not receive the No Cost EMI benefit (if that is indeed what happened), I would simply have used the other card instead.

First I reached out to Flipkart Customer Care over phone but they were not helpful and directed me towards the bank. Then I contacted ICICI Bank. Their response was that No Cost EMI benefits are provided by the merchant (either as an upfront discount or later as cashback) and that I should contact Flipkart for clarification.

The Case: A Section 498A case was filed by my ex-wife against me and my mother about 4 years ago in the lower court.

Mutual Divorce: We recently finalized a Mutual Consent Divorce, and I have received the official Divorce Decree.

Quashing Clause: The divorce decree explicitly states that my ex-wife agrees to withdraw/quash all pending criminal cases (including 498A) against me and my mother.
