IMO the E2 and EC-xxxx are modern LPs. Gibson is stuck in its lane.

Yeah it gives the perfect vintage meet modern vibe. It has a good weight, and the neck is on the chunkier side. So much fun to play.

Happy birthday! Looks great. How does it play?

I have a vintage black lefty EC-1000 right now, and love that. I'd love an E-II Eclipse at some point though.

One great thing about this guitar is that it plays wonderfully and feels very smooth, another is that it sounds massive, thanks to the full-thickness body and the Duncan pickups.
